See Boeings incredible 777 from every angle, inside and out, under construction and finished, on the ground and in glorious flight. Filled with design, construction and flight testing data.
Although a bit dated now - it is pre 777-300ER - this book is a nice introduction into the masterpiece that is Boeing's Triple Seven twinjet jetliner, explaining the design of the jet, some of the key technologies and constituent parts, as well as the key partnerships with industry, its industrialization and certification test campaign.
The Boeing 777 is a fly-by-wire jet with a highly robust multiple-redundancy avionics system, and incorporating such James Bond technologies as ultrasonics, densiometers, infrared pyrometers, fiberoptics, laser-beam glass gyroscopes, and built-in system-wide self test delivered to a dedicated maintenance terminal on the flightdeck.
I really liked the book Boeing 777. I loved it because it showed me so much detail about how the aircraft is made in Paine Field. Its really interesting to me how long it actually takes just to paint the aircraft. I realized that it takes up to 4 steps just to paint the aircraft. I personally liked it because i took a trip to Paine Field an dit was interstig to compare what they said about Paine field and what i thought.
I really like this book. I enjoy looking at the color photographs and descriptions inside the book. I wish they wrote a book on the Boeing 777 300er and 777 200LR as well as the Boeing 787 and 747 800.
