I have a thing for psychic stories, I have confessed this many a times and this one was very well written and had both the hero and heroine who had abilities, the hero was someone who had withdrawn from them and life preferring seclusion after spending his childhood being exploited by his mother, tested, considered a freak and facing heart-break when the answers he found led to dead people.

The heroine ran a bread and breakfast and had spent a lifetime denying she had any abilities since it had made her mother uncomfortable but when her sister died along with her nephew, she started having dreams and somehow she knew her nephew was alive and went for help which led her to the hero. Of course on finding him, she doesn't find him welcoming and instead of an old man she expected, he is much younger.

The hero's compassion leads him to give her shelter but he doesn't offer her hope and tells her that her nephew is dead, of course he is in for his own miracle when he sees that what the heroine's sees doesn't lead to death and instead it is the future and they soon join hands.

Their relationship too progresses to an intimate level, both know it's temporary since the heroine is not like her sister, dependent on a man while the hero likes living the way he does, living in civilization takes a toll on him.

However things comes to pass that require the hero to pick up his gifts again and somehow these two people find what they were looking for and each other.

I liked the way the book was written, the hero seeing a different side of special abilities as well as finding something he never expected, happiness.

Chasing Dreams by Cheryl St. John was not my usual choice of reading material. The heroine, Shaine Richards, had dreams that turn out to be real events. She has kept her psychic talent hidden for years as it embarrassed her mother in the past. Shaine has been tested for research purposes and is reluctantly sent to a recluse psychic for assistance with her abilities to be able to locate her lost nephew. The story held my interest with multiple twists and turns.

I truly enjoyed reading Chasing Dreams and would recommend it to friends and family.

There was some romance but it was not overdone or explicit.
The book did not have vulgar language and is acceptable for all readers.

This is a story of believing in dreams, renewal and especially family.
When Shaine had dreams of her kidnapped nephew, Jack being alive she decided to find someone who who be able to help her find him. Austin had done psychic work in the past and walked away from that life after a tragic ending. When Shaine came to see if he would help her find her nephew he finally gave in to help her.
Could these two find her nephew before something tragic happen? Could they even work together?
I found this book one that has twists and turns that keeps you interested until the end.

With rain, thunder and dreams, we begin this book. It’s a special gift to have strong premonitions, second sight to events, and the ability to share when necessary; or is it a devastation in lives. The writing of this storyline is absolutely perfect; the book lends itself to self-thoughts for the readers; and I personally was amazed with each chapter. Little Jack is such a great hero, Shaine is my heroine for perseverance, and I love Austin for his calm demeanor. All in all, I loved this book!

Shaine Richards has been having dreams about her nephew Toby who was lost a year ago when his mother's car plunged into the river. Maggie was buried but Toby's body was never found. He appears to be his current age not the age he disappeared. When she senses the location of another lost boy and helps locate his body and then a pair of lost hikers are located with her help, she decides there may be something to her dreams about Toby. Her local work with a psychic researcher has led nowhere. He then reluctantly gives her the name and location of a recluse psychic who has withdrawn from the torment of using his talent who might be able to help her understand her dreams.

Austin Allen is not willing to help because all his experiences led to finding dead victims and being in the tortured minds of the killers or experiencing the torture of the victims. He has learned to block his talent. But Shaine's talent is envisioning a future event and she 'knows' Toby is alive. Working together they must learn how to interpret both of their talents to find Toby. A very different and satisfying series romance.
