Tasha Tudor's charming watercolor illustrations remind us of simpler times--creating the perfect mood for reading this selection of beloved prayers. Newly designed color borders and a fresh cover enhance the shelf appeal of this classic title, a companion volume to the successful First Prayers Life Favors® book.
This was one of my first little books to read. My copy is from 1979 and is quite beat up. I read it a lot when I was little, but had never read it as an adult. I liked the simple and quick prayers because they are easy for a young person to learn. This book has beautiful illustrations that have always made me smile. It is a tiny book that could fit in an adult's back pocket, or in a young person's little hands. Very cute!
Page 24 and 25 "I come in the little things, Saith the Lord...." by Evelyn Underhill is my favorite. I can just see Tasha saying this little prayer to the birds and field mice.
