Rima has survived many life-threatening illnesses and accidents, including a rare form of cancer, viral spinal meningitis, and a major ski accident. She always triumphs over adversity because she has a winning attitude and a sense of humor about almost everything. (Her first cousin is comedian, Rita Rudner.) Now she has decided to turn cow dung into fertilizer and shares how she has stayed happy despite so much adversity. Her credo is that you can be happy and successful despite your age if try to find humor in everything. She writes in a casual, humorous, easy-to-read style, but her message to her readers is clear and full of wit, humor, and wisdom.
One of the best self help books I’ve read thus far. Really helps you understand what it takes to really be happy. I utilize the lessons I’ve learned from this book in my everyday life. Such a good read!
An inspirational book that lays the groundwork for being more positive. While some of the suggestions/advice may sound simplistic, I've personally found that it's the seemingly 'simple' steps that are the most challenging. As a pessimistic person looking to become more positive and 'happy', I found this book uplifting and enjoyable. The author's humor and candor made the concepts understandable and accessible.
While the book suggests some very good ideas about how we can choose to be happy, there is a lot of subjective nonsense written as well. The writer does not come across and genuine in this book.
It was a simple read, it wasn't especially motivating. It was really hard to finish, mostly because I felt like I could have written it myself. Not very insightful.
