This is a fun novella collection with each of four sisters having her own romance story. The sisters all have flower names Rosy,Lily,Violet and Heather and the book takes place in Texas.Three unmarried sisters come to the wedding of their sister but it turns out not to be a wedding after all when the bride is left at the alter with no groom. The bride eventually marries some one else. Each of the sisters has a whirlwind courtship and has a fun story explaining how they got to the wedding stage.

I typically save the reviews of romance novels for my wife, Ann. I've made an exception this time around and read this one myself. I really wanted to see what it was like again. And my conclusion? Not bad.

I like the novella concept; it keeps things short and to the point. There's not time for lots of extra word fodder when you've less than 100 pages for four books-in-one.

One thing I liked about Higman's book was the trust in God each of her main female characters had. When life brought some crucial decision-making needs or tension, each one would find strength in God.

One thing I wish I could see more of in any book out of this genre: more stress on redemption through Christ Jesus. I have yet to see any 'Christian romance novel' lay this out clearly. It's mentioned only briefly, it's skirted around, or the authors seem to think that faith in God equals the same thing as trusting Christ as the Savior of their souls and forgiver of their sins. I'm not sure why this seems to be the case. I know it's a topic of conversation/debate among authors, but if they master their craft I would think they could work in a clear gospel message without it becoming cheesy.

So that would be my challenge. At the same time, I don't see any 'harm' in these types of books. I can certainly commend Higman's 4-part novella to you.

What is better that a good Texas Romance? Four Texas Romance books in one!

This book is about the McBride sisters. They were raised in Galveston, Texas and enjoy the fact that their mother owned a Scrapbooking Shop on Galveston's popular Strand. All three girls are on their own living in different parts of Texas. Each one of them is single and waiting for their soul mates.

Everything's Coming Up Rosy!

The girls have come together in Galveston for Rosy's wedding but it has come very apparent that she has been left at the altar. How could this happen they love each other. Where can her Henry be? She is going to kill him!

She realizes she pushed too hard for a marriage that Henry just was not ready for. So instead of killing him she closes herself up in her old bedroom at her parent's house. Then her best bud, Lars shows up as her knight in shining armor to pull her from the pit of depression. Why had she not seen what a special man Lars was, he knew her better than anyone?

God had a better plan for Rosy.

For the Love of Violet!

Violet owns her own business called Romantic Images. Her business is doing so well she has someone else running the business for her. Violet loves hiking and living in this scenic town of Alpine, Texas. As she is enjoying a quiet day when she hears a racket coming up her driveway. Stepping out of a rattle trap of a truck is a cowboy. He introduces himself as one of her online customers and he has a very high opinion of her. This was kind of freaky that this man would drive out to her home to meet her. He wants to pay her to teach him how to be romantic. Crazy!

She was not sure how it happened but she agreed to help him for an outrageous price thinking he would not pay what she asked. But he agreed pay whatever she asked. They decided to hike up a mountain as they had their first lesson on living romantically. The more time she spent with Will the more she liked him. Maybe he was teaching her a lesson in romance.

Forget Me Not Lily!

Lily has started her own business as a Christian counselor but she does not have very much confidence in herself. When she attended school she missed a lot of classes helping a sick friend. Even though she got her degree she feels as if she miss some important lessons.

She has several patients and they all seem to be happy under her care. Her motto is to not just be there counselor but their friend.

One day a very handsome man comes to her office to make an appointment for counseling. He feels it is not necessary but his boss slash friend thinks differently. Lily and Rubin meet to access his counseling needs and decide he really doesn't need counseling. Rubin kept making advances that were hard to miss and she decided to invite him to a party she was having at her home for all of her patient slash friends. Lily is attracted to Rubin but his gorgeous female boss also has her eyes set on Rubin. Would it be ethical for Lily to date Rubin?

Dreaming of Heather!

Heather has just resigned from her job. The job had been one of deceit and lies and she did not want to have any part of that kind of business.

She felt like she had a load removed and was ready to move on to an honest profession. She owned her own home in Southeast Texas on Horseshoe Bayou. It was her beautiful relaxing haven. She likes sitting on her back porch watching God's majestic creations.

As she sits enjoying the view a handsome man in a tuxedo comes walking up with a broad smile on his face. She must be having a vision. Come to find out he was her neighbor and needed a favor. He asked her if she would be his date for a wedding he had to attend. At first she considered the fact that she did not know this man from Adam. Then he explains that his deceased aunt had left him the house. His aunt had spoken often and kindly about Heather on several occasions when she was living. So he felt like he already knew Heather. They joked around and she decided since he really wasn't a complete stranger she would help him out and be his date for the wedding. Besides he was something else!

After just one date they both knew there was a strong connection between the two of them.

* * *

I will not tell you how things ended so you will need to grab a copy of the book to find out if there was a happy ending.

I had a great connection with this book because I live in the Piney Woods of Southeast Texas. Plus I have three daughters and two step-daughters that I had the pleasure and watching them fall in and out and in love. I would like to say they are all living happily ever after but they are all living their life the way they choose and that is what counts.

The author wrote of the diverse situations of each sister as they sought their soul mates. These stories were sad at times, definitely funny and very romantic. God had a special plan for each sister.

I found each story to be special in its own way.

I highly recommend this book.

I rated this book a 5 out of 5.

I had the privilege to read yet another book by Anita Higman. I have had the chance to learn from her devotional Where God Finds You (and reviewed it here previously if you want to read the review to see for yourself if it’s something you would like to read), and now I just finished her four-in-one novella collection, Texas Wildflowers. Let me just say that Ms. Higman is multidimensional.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these four sisters and their very different paths to love. Each was a short story but Ms. Higman has a great gift of developing each sister so that their individual personalities, interests, uniqueness, and yes, even character flaws shine through. Some of them I was more naturally drawn to as their personalities were similar to mine and I could relate personally, but that was perfect because that’s how it is in real life. I learned valuable life lessons from each. They were imperfect people with big hearts who each taught me something subtly about the Christian walk.

Each story drew me in and each story had excitement that made me keep reading. I love how she gave an epilogue at the end of the first three stories so that I was able to see their “happily-ever-after.” I absolutely loved every one of the men that the sisters fell in love with and felt a part of the extended family as well, welcomed by their mom as though I had grown up in their neighborhood and could drop by for coffee whenever I pleased.

I loved reading these stories and was sad when they were over as I had made four friends. I can’t wait to see what else Ms. Higman writes. She does a great job with fiction and nonfiction alike!

Unlikely Loves Blossom in Texas

Written about four McBride sisters, the settings are all in Texas, but not the same part.

In Everything’s Coming Up Rosy, everything is not so Rosy for Rose. Her groom fails to show up for the wedding, and she flees to Galveston to her childhood home. When Larson Brookfield enters her life, will he be able to help Rose heal from the rejection?

Forget Me Not Lily is about Lily, a counselor who is trying to help a man jilted by his lover. She ends up falling for Rubin McCall, but dating a client is against her code of ethics. What can she do?

For the Love of Violet is Violet’s story. She owns a business to teach people how to love romantically, but really she is not at all romantic. She gets to know Morgan Jones online, but then he asks her advice on how to woo a woman…

Dreaming of Heather shares Heather’s encounter with Evan Finch, a motivational speaker and a popular figure with women's groups. But when women swoon at his feet, can she trust him?

TEXAS WILDFLOWERS is a four-in-one collection of contemporary romance novellas. Readers of contemporary romance would enjoy this collection. Each story is tied together by the sisters and the setting angle, and are a short, quick read. Each story averages about ninety pages, easily read in an afternoon.

This book would be great to tuck in your tote for easy reading while you wait at doctor’s appointments or lunch breaks. If you like contemporary romance, don’t miss TEXAS WILDFLOWERS. $7.99 352 pages

I thoroughly enjoy reading Anita Higman's books. Recently I read and reviewed Winter In Full Bloom http://chatwithvera.blogspot.com/2013... and A Merry Little Christmas http://chatwithvera.blogspot.com/2012... and find each of her books slightly different in style but thoroughly enjoyable reads. In Texas Wildflowers she writes the stories of four sisters. Each is named after a flower - Rosy, Lily, Violet, and Heather; and each has their own story in novella form bound into one book. Nice idea for bringing a family story to the reader. Instead of one book with their stories interwoven throughout, each is a stand-alone novella.

As a Christian author, Anita Higman has characters whose faith is the guiding force in their lives and key to their decisions. And in a Christian novel that focuses on sweet romance, that is a real plus. Also, the romance doesn't get uncomfortable as many romance novels would.

This is a book I would categorize as beach-reads, rainy-day reads, or just-for-fun-relaxing reads. Each novella can be read in an evening or a "rainy-day" sit by the fire.

DISCLOSURE: The author shared this book with me and I enjoyed reading and writing this review. No expectation was made for a review or for positive opinions. I received no compensation for this review.

This is another great book by publisher Barbour. This book has four stories that are related to each other but are terrific as standalone stories as well. I liked how each of the four McBride sisters had their own unique personalities and therefore each of the romance stories was different. Even though the stories where short they still had plenty of humor and good conversations to make then entertaining. The relationship of the sisters helped make this book even more appealing. This is one of my favorite four-in-one romances and for that reason I gladly give this book a 5/5 star rating. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick clean romance to read.

I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

Sometimes extremely special, in others below par

The first two books were transcendent in their beauty, but they also warned me. One girl, two guys. I felt sorry for Irish because sometimes as believers we can insensitive and insufferable. The guy had to look bad, be ugly, be everything every woman believed she was more worthy of, but at what expense. How can Heather be honest if she doesn't know what is true. And the condescension, as though only her point of view is relevant, as though Evan's job makes him inherently dishonest.

The book transcends in quality of writing and content many Christian books. But in essence it highlights one fatal flaw. The desire of the woman is paramount. But can the desire of the Church transcend the authority and sovereignty of Christ, her husband? Yes, Christ gave His all for the Church, but his glory, the glory of the Father, will not be shared with another. So the question is, do we as believers understand the difference between God's love and his glory? Or are we stuck like the Hebrews, while by now we ought to be teachers we need to be taught all over again the primary doctrines before we can truly transcend this ordinary life by living in the faith of the son of God?

By the time of the last book the method writing became annoying. What made it more annoying was the presumptions of Heather about Evan. Even though he was speaking truth, her first occupation was with gossip and a conman.
But the Bible tells us to try the spirit's, whether or not they are of God. Heather can't see for one but wants to see for two. And why did Lucy's boyfriend have to be a fact guy - stereotypical prejudice.
But it wasn't surprising, it predictable and disappointing. Why does a Christian woman indulge with kissing a man whom she only just met then to have contentions base ad on her assumption? The American mindset is on full display.
And we wonder why Jesus tarries? Well, for this ones trait in women: we think it's about us when it's about Christ.
Christ created the Church and the way for the Church. One thing is evident in all four books: well meaning Christianss sweet even but juvenile in their Christian outlook. Committed, dedicated and yet not disciples of Christ, renewed in their minds. Having thrown off the traditions of our fathers - the mindset of our community. Heather takes a moral stand and quits her job and yet she seems clueless as to her own talents. She wants to be honest and compassionate without being

Novellas are hit and miss for me. Some are so rushed that I have a hard time getting past how unrealistic that makes them. This collection has some decent stories, but the first two fell in the too rushed category. The last story was the best and the most believable. If you are looking for a quick read that’s just mind candy (not deep), one of these novellas might be what you’re looking for.

June 13, 2017 review:
Being a Texas gal myself, I was eager to buy this book and read it. "Texas Wildflowers" in my opinion was a good book although I think that the scenarios that took place with each of the four McBride sister seemed a little far-fetched to me.

For example, in "Everything's Coming Up Rosy", I find it hard to believe that Rosy's fiancé just LEFT her at the altar and in barely ANY time she fell in love with a man named Larson Brookfield. The author just slipped him in the story and there's almost no background to how and when they met.

I also think that in "For the Love of Violet" it's pretty creepy and unrealistic that Morgan Jones tracks Violet down through her internet business and they fall in love.

And in "Forget Me Not Lilly", I think it's such a weird coincidence that Rubin McCall just happens to be Austin, a best friend from her childhood school 15 years ago.
I liked this book but am only rating it like I did because of the somewhat unrealistic scenarios. :-)

Re-read this October 10, 2022.
Updated review:
I remember having read this book years ago when i was much younger, and these short love stories always stuck in my head! I wanted to read this whole book again, and I'm not disappointed! The one i remember the most (and that has always been my favorite) is "Forget Me Not Lily"!

📚#1 Everything's Coming Up Rosy

The story was cute and I instantly fell in love with Lars again! I love how bold he is in professing his intentions and love towards Rose! I didn't like The little kid in the neighborhood that followed them all the time, or that they ended up adopting him. I just didn't care for that part of the story.

📚#2 For the Love of Violet

Basil was such a gross guy!!!! Anyways, i liked Morgan Jones. It's kinda creepy that he stalked her through her website and somehow found her residence, but after you get to know Morgan, it's not that weird. He's a cool guy. I did not care for the fact that Morgan wanted Violet to be a mom towards his adopted daughter who is deaf. That's too much to throw on a person after only knowing them for 2 days.
Although, he did leave her alone.. and I like how Violet ran after his car and changed her mind! She chose Morgan after all and became a mother!

📚#3 Forget Me Not Lily

This is my favorite story from this collection and is the most memorable!!
I love the story of how Rubin is actually Austin, Lily's friend from 15 years ago!! He is so sweet and the ending is the best part of the story.
This story is too clogged up with drama from Ruben's boss Charlie, though!

📚#4
While "Forget me not Lily" is still my absolute favorite story in this collection, the last story, "Dreaming of Heather", has the best writing I think!
Heather and Evan's love story is actually believable, and you can see their love develop!
However, this whole story is filled with Heather running around telling people her opinion on things in their life that are really none of her business. She's trying to be cool and trendy, but it's not working out for her. She's not good at giving advice and should've shut up in the beginning! 😂
For example, she sees a girl with a tattoo, and tells her that her mother wouldn't like it and basically that she should do better.
#1 It's NONE OF HER BUSINESS that the girl has a tattoo,
#2 she obviously has already gotten the tattoo and there's lottery nothing the girl can do about it now,
And,
#3 IT'S ABSOLUTELY RUDE of her to comment like that!

Then the girl replies that her mother passed away! Ugh! I hate Heather!! What the hell is her problem? 🤦🏻‍♂️ 🤦🏻‍♂️ 🙄

♥️Basically, these stories should just be read and not really prodded, because they're not that deep. It's cool to find a story you like, though, and just enjoy it.
If you think about what you're reading too much you'll find so many issues in the writing and plots. 😂
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

The four McBride sisters and their parents are a close family, though the girls are all grown and living on their own. If one of them needs something, her sisters are sure to pitch in.

Texas Wildflowers, a collection of four contemporary romance novellas, is a part of the Romancing America series. In this case, all four are written by one Texan author, Anita Higman. Something unique about this group of stories is that all are written in first person POV, and only from the viewpoint of the female main character, instead of the more usual third person with alternating main characters that most romances seem to have. It worked fine–just letting you know in case it matters to you.

The first novella, “Everything’s Coming up Rosy,” starts with Rose McBride waiting at the church for her groom to show up. Instead, he texts the best man to explain he just can’t go through with it. Rose is heartbroken but soon realizes she isn’t as devastated as she would have expected to be. Is that partly because her friend Lars is determined to break her out of her doldrums? And then there’s Siggy, a little neighbor boy who’s living with his elderly relative, who simply hasn’t the energy to keep up with a child. Siggy wants a forever home. Can he and Lars pull this off with Rose?

Lily is a relationship counselor who’s never been in love. “Forget Me Not Lily” is the fun tale of a guy requesting counseling (at the insistence of his boss) to get over being jilted by his fiancee months ago. For once Lily wishes dating a client wasn’t against her code of ethics! Things get complicated when she finds Ruben’s boss is a woman with barely hidden motives. Can Lily navigate these tricky waters?

Next we meet Violet in her tale, “For the Love of Violet.” She owns a successful business called Romantic Images. She figures she’s so good at it because she isn’t a romantic herself, just knows what most women will like. Good thing she can focus on the business end of things! But when Morgan shows up in a decrepit jalopy he appears to love and asks her advice on using all her products to woo a woman, she doesn’t expect to fall for him. It’s just not in her game plan.

“Dreaming of Jasmine” is the final story, in which Jasmine is invited to accompany the single guy-next-door to a wedding and encounters all his relatives eager for him to marry. But Jasmine isn’t too sure about Evan Finch. After all, he’s a motivational speaker, very popular with women’s groups. Can she trust him to not manipulate her? Can she trust him to handle himself appropriately when women practically swoon at his feet? Jasmine has determined to tell the truth at all cost and doesn’t trust too easily–a combination that might cause Evan to run for the hills.

This quartet of stories about straight-talking outdoorsy Texas sisters is a fun addition to the Romancing America series.

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley for the purposes of review. Opinions are mine alone.

Everything’s Coming up Rosy
Rosy’s fairy tale has turned into a nightmare when she’s left standing at the alter. It only gets worse when her best friend, Larson, returns to tell her she should have chosen him anyway.
But Rosy’s not ready for this – or is she?
Review: This was a cute story but very short and mellow. It moved too quickly for me from the alter to a new guy.
Grade: B
Ages: 15+

For the Love of Violet
Violet spends her first date with Basil reminding herself of his positive points and focusing on what life will be like with him at her side only to return home to an unknown and unexpected visitor. A visitor who wants to hire her to teach him to be more romantic. A visitor who has more depth than the deepest lake – unlike the date she just returned from.
Review: I really enjoyed Violet. This was quite an adorable romance.
Grade: B+
Ages: 15+

Forget Me Not Lilly
Rubin McCall takes Lilly by surprise one afternoon in her Rent-a-Friend office by asking if he could hire her to help him get over a past romance. Little does he know that he may never get over his first love.
Review: Absolutely Adorable!! I LOVED this one!
Grade: A
Ages: 15+

Dreaming of Heather
Integrity. Very few have that any longer but Heather just can’t do what her firm is requiring. She won’t lie or blur the lines with her clients. Walking out and living a life of complete honesty is all she can think to do.
But maybe complete honesty isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Review: I didn’t love this one as much as the others but it was still a sweet & fun romance.
Grade: B
Ages: 15+

Overall Review:
I really enjoyed this set of novellas. They were sweet, fun, and interesting. My only problem with them was how fast they moved. I think it gives a false impression that quick romances are the norm.

I was thrilled with the book! Each story of the McBride girls was separate, the first one was Rosy back in Galveston,Texas, with Larson Brookfield to help her broken heart, which also show how God works things out. The second one of the McBride girls was Lily, she is a Christian Counselor, who was falling for the handsome Rubin McCall after he brought her a gold fish after hers dies. God worked some things out for Lily that she never dream would happen. The third McBride girls was Violet, she lived in the mountain town of Alpine, Texas, she owns Romantic Images. She teaches people how to live romantically online. There was this geek guy, seen and bought a lot of her things online. Then one day he showed up on her door step and show Violet a lot of things about love and then her boyfriend show up. The fourth McBride girl was Heather she lived in the bayou. She had quit her job, because they wanted her to stretch the truth and she wasn't going to do it. She was out on the porch when the handsome man came up to her and said he was Evan Finch from next door and would she do a favor for him, he needed a date for a wedding that was to happen in an a couple of hour. Heather knew his aunt real well and that she had told her about Evan a lot. So she went to the wedding and a lot of odd things happen at the wedding, it final went on. Evan ask me to go to hear him speak and i said yes. In between time i hurt my best friend because i had to tell the truth. Evan came over to see if i was still going to hear his speech and i broke down crying he took me in his arms, i told him i would be there but i would be a little late. I went to hear Evan, he was wonderful. He was speaking of God and his love for His children and about Heaven, his speech was so that everyone was in awe. We dated had disagreement but it was all go we fell in love. I will leave the rest for you to read. It is such a wonderful book ,i will read it over and over again. Norma

Texas Wildflowers by Anita Higman
This book is four stories in one. Each section is about one of the McBride sisters finding love. It is packed full of great Christian fiction romance.
Everything’s Coming up Rosy - Henry leaves Rosy at the alter. She returns home to Galveston to mend her broken heart. Can she find true love? Larson has been a great friend to Rosy but can true love really be found in a great friendship?
For the Love of Violet - While Violet may own a business that sells romance she does not knows much about romance. Morgan Jones one of her online customers hires her to help him be more romantic. But will she be the one to learn something new. The first lesson on how to live romantically takes them on a hike in the Chisos Mountains. Maybe the lessons will turn into the real deal.
Forget Me Not Lilly - Lilly doesn’t have much confidence in herself as a counselor because she missed classes helping her sick roommate but loves helping others. As a counselor she likes to treat her patients as she would treat a friend. Ruban McCall is a new patient of Lilly’s counselor business, and he seems familiar. They share a love for the outdoors. But how can she ethically date a patient?
Dreaming of Heather - Heather quits her job because they wanted her to be dishonest. She vows to live being honest. She meets her handsome neighbor Evan when he comes to her home in a tuxedo asking her to accompany him to a wedding. Can she overcome the fact that he is a motivational speaker and believe in him? He encourages her to follow her long lost dream of being a photographer; will she find the courage to pursue her dream and Evan?
These books are packed with humor and clean romantic. God has a unique plan for each sister to find love. The author Anita Higman did a wonderful job of telling each story with a twist as different as each sister. I highly recommend this book.

Novellas aren't my usually my first choice to read, no matter how good they look, simply because I always feel like there's not enough there to make the story feel complete. When Texas Wildflowers was offered for review, I decided to give it a try because I liked the idea that it followed sisters. It was a good choice. Each of the four stories focuses on one of the sisters and their path to true love and marriage. Although each story is complete on it's own, the combined tales make it feel as if together they make a full novel.

The romances are sweet and funny, and other than Rosie's story, the other 3 sisters find their true loves by the strangest encounters of chance. Some might say too strange of a chance encounter, but life is like that. You could spend all your energy looking for Mr. Right, in all the 'right' places, and never find him. Then, out of the blue one day, God sets your path to cross someone in a place you would never expect and wham! sparks fly. It brings the romance and hope back to the sometimes chore of finding your true love. And although it's not pounded out in the book, the whispered message that I picked up was, "Don't forget that it's in God's hands and His timing. Be patient, don't rush into marriage because you're feeling lonely or desperate."

I flew threw the stories, laughing and smiling, closing the final page with that happy buzz you get after a really good romantic tale. These novellas definitely stand high above any others I've read.

Rosy, Lily, Violet and Heather are four sisters named for the Texas wildflowers that their mom loved.

Raised to be independent women by their parents, the four are traveling through adulthood in the promised land, known as Texas. Then suddenly, and at times unexpectedly, the four begin to find love.

Called " 'a romance assortment of petits fours, and as dreamy sweet.'" by Harold Wolf, the novellas found within this collection are sweet. If you read them for the pure fun, "mind candy" point of view, they are as "tastty" as the petits fours from your favorite bakery.

You probably don't want to read it from a "realism" point of view. The stories have a theme that is consistent for a "storybook" romance. Girl meets Guy, Girl ponders Guy, Girl falls in love, Guy proposes - all within the space of days.

But putting realism, these are a fun "escape from reality." Clean and simple, the book could span generations of female readers.

On the scale of one to five, it's a three. Cute stories, easy to read, lighthearted and "sweet."

This book is a Four-in-One Novella Collection. Each romance is about one of the four McBride sisters. As each of the girls grew into adulthood, their father offered to set up each girl in the business or career of her choice. It is interesting to read about each girl and the choice she made.

Not being a fan of novellas in general, I am always amazed by a few talented authors, who are able to write characters of depth in such a short stories. Anita Higman is one of these gifted authors. I very much enjoyed this collection of characters.

It is hard to pick a favorite sister, because each is unique and has her own charming ways. Each tries to follow God’s leading in her life—some choices made more successfully than others. The heroes, also are distinctly different—each one endearing in his own way.

The Texas setting makes a great backdrop for these fun romances. I recommend Texas Wildflowers to everyone who enjoys God-centered stories with happy endings.

This is a book about 4 sisters who all live in different areas of Texas and all have flower names. Each book is different as we get to know the 4 sisters and there different personalities and lives. The thing with novellas the stories are a short sweet story and there were times I would loved the stories to have been longer. The book is in the first person which I took a little while to get use to as most I read are third person but its good seeing the book just from the heroines point of view. I love how the 4 stories tie together and how each plays out. I could go into detail about each book but being a novella I may give to much away and I like for readers to discover the story one there own. A good read.

"Texas Wildflowers" is a delightful collection of four stories about the McBride sisters - Rosy, Lily, Violet, and Heather. Each sister has her own story, told from her own point of view. The stories include:

"Everything's Coming Up Rosy"
"Forget Me Not Lily"
"For the Love of Violet"
"Dreaming of Heather"

Entertaining and fun, each of the "Texas Wildflowers" stories can be read in a single sitting, and my favorite of the four stories was Heather's story "Dreaming of Heather." I loved how Ms. Higman used the underlying theme of God allowing the closing of one door, but opening another (much better) door.

I look forward to reading more books by Anita Higman and would recommend this book for those who love a satisfying contemporary romance read.

I am taking "Texas Wildflowers" with me to read. I can not ever sleep without reading first. And then the times that I am waiting around for the doctor. I like this one because it is 4 books in one yet all the stories link back into one family. Also it all takes place in my beloved TEXAS. I love my state to say the least. In Texas Wildflowers you get to have four different settings during the story lines.
