This is a sophomore level textbook for students who know calculus, but for whom things like differential equations are still quite new. It's a nice overview/introduction with plenty of history and a lot more depth than using the last few chapters of their big freshman physics book would give.

It's a textbook...not exactly what you'd pick up to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon with a cup of coffee in hand, but it gave me the information I needed in a clear, straight-forward way.
