It's good for dating, but great for just relating to other people and feeling good because you make them feel good being around you. I'm not naturally a charming person so this book is a big help.

There was some ridiculous stuff in here, but also some good advice and interesting tips. An enjoyable (if sometimes eye-roll-inducing) quick read. A solid 3.5.

This is a fun book. I love books on becoming a better flirt! Anything that can give a girl an advantage. I thought that this book had a fun and different point of view. If you have read any of the books by the author you will have to skim some of the same subject matter. What I do like about this book is how flirting is essentially having fun and making the other person have fun. Good informative book.

This book deserves a review. I first found it in the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts with Tatiana. When we bought it, it was for fun. But I have come to love this book and everything that it inspires. The Southern voice is wonderful and entertaining. It may not make one think about the deepest parts of human existence, but it is a wonderful read.

I really enjoyed this book. I had to sift through a number of incompatible values that the author and I have, but there are many, many treasures to be found. I also believe she could help to soften a feminist audience to the idea of femininity. The last section of the book is for more mature readers and preferably for ones who are married or about to be so. :-)

I’m basically reading this for a laugh. I came across it at the free library. As a southern woman—- this book is pretty ridiculous so far. It’s oldschool in the sense that the type of flirting RR is writing about doesn’t translate well to modern day. A lot has changed since 2005. I’m not going to get a cheaper price on paint from being nice and showing the painters around my house and cutting them a piece of pecan pie and winking at them these days. And the ridiculous sayings—- like moss on treetops and bs like that, it’s too much.

And flirting is a gift given to women by God? Girl what church did YOU attend?

If you want a silly narcissistic book with some twisted views on how God thinks women should act, then read this book.

I will update if I find anything redeemable about this book other than “be nice.”

Ok final update: This lady had me nodding and agreeing with several points, and then on the next page would have me rolling my eyes. Ugh. Read this one with a grain of salt. Only take the good points. A lot are unrealistic and exhausting.

This book is a fun read! It's really just common sense stuff about how to make other people feel comfortable in your presence. The author calls it flirting - and southern women really know how to flirt. Pour yourself a glass of iced tea, curl up in your favorite chair on the beach or at the pool, and look forward to this entertaining book that will lift your spirits and leave you in a state of joy.

I thought I would hate this book, but it actually had me laughing and kind of on board with some of Rich's advice before I was even halfway finished. There was, of course, quite a bit I didn't agree with but I think I'll give "feminine feminism" a try.

I have read this several times and loved it and learned something new each time.
Don't let the title fool you into thinking it is only romantic flirting. It had wonderful sections on social and business flirting, which were incredibly helpful.
In fact, I recently recommended it to a colleague for help with dealing with our customers and getting the information we need from them. And I believe one of my teenagers has it currently, since I can't locate it to let him borrow.

I got it in the bargain book section. There are some cool recipies (to woo him) and I guess it reminded me not to lose my charm. If it's on sale, it is a fun read :) (By the way, I'm from the South so nothing really applied since it has been ingrained in me at an early age).

When I originally picked this book up, I had no expectation of getting much more out of it than amusement. I had to read a non-fiction book for an English assignment and figured this would be an easy read. As I read, however, I realized it actually had some helpful tips, not only for getting attention from boys, but also being someone that people want to be around. When I saw that the book was about flirting, I expected to be told how to get boys to like me. However, I was surprised when the book explained about other types of flirting, not just romantic. Ronda Rich, the author of this book, really knows what she’s talking about. This book made me laugh and ended up helping me. Even though it wasn’t what I thought it would be, it was interesting to read.
