Laylah Roberts’ delicious new series Crime Boss Daddies has a new addition and i was the lucky girl to get the ARC!
I’d been looking forward to getting to know Cat and Alejandro, and they turned out to be such a beautiful pair.
Their story was filled with sadness and heartbreaking moments but also hope, love and silliness.
Add in a splash of suspense, and you have that typical mix that Laylah’s so good at.

To say that Cat had an unusual childhood would be putting it mildly.
After losing her father at a very young age,her mother then took Cat to stay at different places until settling down at a cult. Until the leader took an interest in Cat and declared she was going to be his next bride…After they escaped that fate, her mother took her to friends of hers, and left.
Cat wasn’t alone, she had her friends she’d met at that cult, but she needed her mother! So,she devised a plan to find out not only how and why her father died, but to do everything she could to find her mother.
And it seemed the person who had the answers, was crime boss Alejandro…..who turned out to be a very different kind of man than she thought he was.
And that might be a véry good thing for Cat…until he found out she’d lied to him. Because if there was one thing he couldn’t abide,it was lying!

Their relationship may have started on lies, but turned out to be so very good for both of them!
I loved how Alejandro was with Cat!
How he indulged her,how he understood her,how he coaxed her Little to come out and play.
His protectiveness and possessiveness may have seemed too much for some, but not for her.
And Cat was so very good for him, too!
She enjoyed making him smile, she genuinely cared about him,and wanted to protect him from getting hurt.
Even if that meant keeping stuff from him….

Their story was so much fun to read, even with the sad moments.
And even with the moments of danger….
Cat drew out a silly side of Alejandro that even he didn’t expect he still had.
And Alejandro made her feel safe and cared for.
In short, this was a story i enjoyed from the start until the final page.
That came way too soon, even if they’re in a very happy place now.
But luckily i know there’s more to come in Papi’s Savior.

I’m so happy I waited to read this until part two (Papi’s Savior) was released because I AM FREAKING OBSESSED and can’t wait to continue their story. 😍

Alejandro is so obsessive and possessive. He's a huge red flag in real life but a dream on page. I love how real and unapologetic he is. New book boyfriend unlocked! Cat is a total sweetheart and funny as hell. I can’t wait to see what happens with them next.

I LOVE that we’re learning more about the infamous Rueben. I would sell a kidney to get my hands on his story!

Also loving all the new characters. The Scot… I’ll be needing his story asap. 🥵

Papi’s Protection is the second installment of Laylah Roberts’ Crime Boss Daddies series. In it, she focuses on the romantic journey of Catrina Perez and Alejandro De Leon. Both Cat and Alejandro are emotionally wounded who eventually find healing through the power of love. Cat lost her father at a young age due to his association with crime families. Alejandro was raised in a crime family. He is one of three half-brothers left to build new lives after the loss of their father. Alejandro secures his place in Boston. Cat spent most of her life on the run moving from place to place with her last stop several years with a cult. When her she is faced with becoming the fifth wife of the cult leader, she and her mother flee to safety. Her quest to find out why her father was killed and her mother’s abandonment she finds herself in Boston trying to find a way to meet Alejandro. As a waitress in the restaurant he frequents for business meetings, she gets her chance. When they meet there is an attraction. Will they hook up? Can he help fulfill her quest? Will their emotional wounds heal? You must read this book to find out.

Ms. Roberts does a remarkable job as she developed this character-driven romantic plot. I like the chemistry between the two lead characters. She expertly uses dialog, point of view, and descriptive language to move her plot along. I enjoyed the way she kept readers guessing as to who the villain was that sought revenge on Cat. I know she had me guessing for a while. I also enjoyed how both Alejandro and Cat evolved as they grew in their relationship. Lastly, I thought it was great how she tied in Reuben Jones, a supporting character from another series, into this series. I am hoping he gets his own book soon.

I loved how different the plot was from previous books and that she called him Papi instead of Daddy. It made me fall in love with the book even more. I can’t wait to read the second book. I liked how the author drew out the book and didn’t rush it like previous books

Alejandro De Leon et Cat

Daddy et petite fille

📖

"Eh bien, euh, hmm, tu vois. . . Starla est malade.

.

Il se tourna vers Martin. "Vas-tu être notre serveur ce soir?"

"Moi?

"Patron, Vince vient d'arriver", a déclaré The Scot.

After waiting a little over a month to find out how the story of Alejandro and Cat continues in the present, we finally have the book and I must say that I have DEVOURED it in no time. It is a couple that from the first moment they appeared they conquered me and I couldn't be happier to know that Mrs. Roberts was going to do two books of them, so I want to give my opinion.

However, although I loved the book and I hope to see Alejandro and Cat again in the future, I have to say that I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed in our beloved protagonist (hence the 4 stars). And before you throw me to the sharks, I want to explain myself.

First of all, I have to say that the reason why I feel disappointed with Cat is because the expectations or the image I had of her do not match reality. Let me explain: In the previous books I had the feeling that Cat looked different from the typical protagonist model that Laylah Roberts usually does, you know: shy, insecure, clumsy, sometimes too defenseless, etc. I'm not saying that bothers me, in general I like her protagonists, but it's true that Cat at first glance looked different, like more "woman" and less "Little", like Eden or Jewel. She is the oldest of her friends and sometimes acts like a "big sister" towards Maeve and Immy, she is temperamental, proactive, energetic, self-assured, a bit dramatic, confident, and seems used to the lifestyle/work of her husband and accepts it quite well.

And in the first book, she really shows herself like that. She has a goal in mind (find her mother) and she devises a calculated and slightly risky plan to achieve it (infiltrate Alejandro's club as a waitress to get information). Cat continued to give me that feeling of an independent, stubborn woman, that she knows what she wants and nothing and nobody stops her. And I found it refreshing and innovative compared to other protagonists, and I was curious as to how Mrs. Roberts was going to manage to blend her submissive nature as Little with her daring and independent personality. However, reading this second part I couldn't help feeling cheated because Cat, basically, is a Dahlia 2.0 (you know, Markovitch's woman). And I didn't like her very much.

Throughout practically a good part of the book, Cat's independent personality vanishes and we only see a married young woman who has no life, no job, no hobbies, her friends are far away, she is bored in her mansion because Alejandro's working all day, and all she does is get into trouble, play skateboards around the house, try to evade her bodyguards for stupid reasons like wanting to go buy ice cream (sometimes there isn't even a reason behind it), mess up her husband's documents with Play-Doh (literally) and desperately get her Papi's attention to come and spank her. Sometimes it's hard to tell when Cat is in Little mode or not, because she almost always behaves immaturely and she seems to have no things or responsibilities in her life. Even when Alejandro assigns her a bodyguard just for her, Cat acts rude and dramatic just to get poor Rafael fired, often acting unpredictably, impulsively and thoughtlessly.

I'm sorry if I have bothered someone with my comment, I don't know if anyone thinks the same as me because I see that all the comments praise both Alejandro and Cat, but hey, I'll be the only one who has felt a little disappointed with her, no problem. I just feel a bit annoyed because I was hoping to see a slightly more mature and independent Cat, with a job or a life beyond being "Alejandro's wife". As I have already said, when the protagonist is with a man as powerful and with as much authority as Alejandro, I like that the person who is going to be his wife is also up to the task, you know, that she is also capable of supporting him and be of help to him, and not be so dependent and helpless.

In any case, I really liked the book, and I really enjoyed the De León couple. Please keep appearing from time to time. In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to October 31 for the Damon Steele and Thomas Grady story.

First half is a bit boring and silly, second half is a lot better. There are a lot of mistakes sadly.

While I really really enjoyed the second half of the book, the first half was extremely annoying! I really hate how all of Laylah Roberts books are the same. The man has been hurt by someone, and the woman is too young and too innocent to cope with him. Yawn. Then halfway through when he stops fighting it, it’s a lot better.

At the beginning of the book Cat is turning 16 and her and her mother live in a cult. When the deity (Leader of the cult.) decides that Cat will be
his new bride, Cat and her mother have to escape the cult to save Cat’s life.
When her mother disappears leaving Cat with her friends, Cat is determined to find her. She believes her mother is running from her fathers killers. For some bizarre reason she thinks Alejandro a crime boss knows something and vows to get close to him so she can find out. WHAT A STUPID IDEA! He’s not going to tell her even if he did kill him! Idiotic! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🙈

After Alejandro saves her from something bad happening to her, (Cat is basically a walking disaster!) he takes her to his house to stay with him. Why I don’t know. 🫤 Of course Alejandro and Cat fall in love (Alejandro fights it for ages.🙄) and start a relationship. Alejandro is a daddy dom, (A seriously sexy daddy dom!) and Cat is a Little, a seriously annoying Little.

While I loved most of it there are a lot of issues with the book.
🔵 Why did her mother take Cat on the run?
🔵 Why take her to a cult?
🔵 Who did kill her father?
🔵 Where is her mother?
🔵How old are Cat’s friends from the cult?
🔵 What do her friends do for a living?
🔵Why if Cat classes her friends as family, do they live nowhere near her?
🔵 What does Alejandro do for a living? Yes he’s the head of the mafia but how does he make money?
There are a lot of other issues that are never really explained, sadly and yes it does spoil it.
There are a HUGE amount of mistakes. Missing words, spelling mistakes, and weirdly whole sentences are repeated.
On the plus side the sex scenes are seriously hot! Not enough of them though sadly.

Cat and Alejandro's story is finally here!

We've seen little cameos of both Cat and Alejandro throughout Daddy's Obession and in the Montana Daddies series so I'm super excited that we finally get their origin story and it was so worth the wait! LR did a fantastic job of re-introducing these characters and also making their story uniquely theirs.

Cat has lived through more than most people do in a life time but she still manages to stay strong and brave enough to open her heart to her friends/family and of course, to the big bad crime boss, Alejandro De Leon.

To watch these two interact was so entertaining! I read this in one sitting and honestly enjoyed every part of it. This story isn't as fluffy as some of LR other dd/lg books but the emotional pull is just as strong.

Favorite Quote: "I can fly because you'll always be there to catch me."

It that not the most romantic thing ever! I loved how giving they both were with each other. Cat gives her loyalty and her love 100% and Alejandro - this guy! - he tries to stay behind the emotional walls he's built but there is no resisting Cat.

As per usual, there were a lot of side characters that I'm now dying to read and get to know. All the friends (Sampson, Jenner, Isiah, Abe and Immy) but also Ortega and Dante! Even Doomy Gloomy has piqued my interest. What is his backstory!?!

If you've followed Laylah Roberts, you will love this newest release and I highly recommend!

If you haven't but the blurb interests you then jump right in, you will not be disappointed. It can be read as a stand alone, the story and it's characters have their own plot and their own HFN ending. Book 2 is due to release in August and I'm already counting down the days.

Ages: Cat is 20 and De Leon is 34
Age Regression: around 5 years old. No diapers. Uses pacifier and bottle.
Discipline: spankings (hand and belt), corner time, edging and writing lines.

The wait is finally over! Other than Fox, these are the characters I've been dying to read about. Cat's a mix of street smart and innocence. She's guarded about who she lets close, but she's also trusting of some people that she shouldn't be. Her childhood experiences has skewed her sense of what a "bad person" really is and it makes her a little reckless. She also has a strong belief in herself and a determination that knows no bounds. Then there's Alejandro. Pull out the fan, grab some ice, and try to not combust. He's sexy, dominant, dangerous, over protective, and sweet. He may be the most dangerous man in the city, but he cares for those he trusts and he's fair. Side note: I have a whole new list of characters I hope to see stories for, lol.

This book is only the first part of their story, but I wouldn't say it actually ends in a cliff hanger. It's more like there will be a continuation. There are so many unanswered questions, and I'm glad Ms. Roberts is going to answer them all. I'm not going to spoil the story by discussing those plot points, but I can't wait to find out the truth.

As I said, this is a slow burn, sexy, emotional read. The connection between Cat and Alejandro is intense, but they don't jump to the sexy time. There are too many other things going on. Their relationship moves at a nice pace. There were parts of the story that broke my heart and parts that made me laugh out loud. There's danger, drama, very satisfying moments, and many moments where I needed to cool off. Alejandro has a way with words.

Needless to say, Ms. Roberts has, once again, delivered a winner. She has taken characters I've been waiting for and given them a story that's more than I hoped for.

Wonderful read I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this story, wonderful characters and scenario
This is a wonderful read and I guarantee that you enjoy every moment of this book and I am sure that you will find the ruthlessness and the powerful characters within these pages which you will find yourself total captivated by this wonderful book.

Alejandro De Leon has received information about how the death of her father and also possibly the truth as to what may have happened to her mother and am sure that you will be aware of the drama behind this as you read this book and realise the happening of this wonderful read.

Cat needs to discover what has happened and is so desperate to discover as much information as possible about her missing mother, as she gets to know Alejandro she finds that they have been rubbing each other a little the wrong way. She may be a tiny thing but it seems that this sassy little thing is always putting herself in risky situations with little care of propriety or deportment.

I guarantee that you will love every moment of this book and that you will find yourself totally captivated by this wonderful read and you will not put it down until you reach the end.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

What a cracker of a story this was by Ms. Roberts. A fast, humorous tale that follows
Cat and Alejandro's relationship and how it evolves and grows. It highlights Cat’s
determination to uncover details about her parents, and readers can witness her
journey from despair until destiny puts Alejandro in her path. Theirs was a relationship made in heaven, but it did have its ups and downs.

Alejandro De Leon was a man of many layers. He made sure to protect his heart until
Cat shattered those layers to uncover Alejandro the person, not Alejandro the crime
boss. He tried to ignore his feelings for Cat, but she soon melted his heart. What I
admired the most about Alejandro was his ability to bring out Cat’s little and help her
live in the moment.

I just loved Cat and her antics. She was feisty, sassy, and loyal, but she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. The mystery surrounding her parents and her fragile connection with Alejandro kept me intrigued. I admired her bravery at going after what she wanted despite the danger. Her little had her in all sorts of trouble, but she was irresistible.

I enjoyed this story and the chemistry was red hot. I found Cat to be a delight in every
way. In fact, for me she was the shining star. This series just keeps getting better with each new book.

Finally, we get to see more of Cat and Alejandro! We've encountered them in previous novels but this is their book and what a good read it is! 4 stars.

Cat's had a rough life thus far, from losing her father, to 6 years living in a weird cult, to her mother's disappearance, and when she finally adopts a false identity and gets to the man who might help her (Alejandro), she's nearly raped by a trio of criminal thugs. But it's Alejandro to the rescue--he's the biggest crime boss in this city, but for Cat, it's out of the frying pan and into the fire, because not only is Alejandro is a Daddy Dom, but he senses that Cat is really a Little and he slowly but surely brings out Cat's Little side, indulges her Little whims, and, oh yes, he wants to keep her. But Alejandro hates liars, and everything he knows about Cat has been a lie. What will he do once he discovers who she really is and why she sought him out? You'll just have to read this exciting, steamy, funny, sweet and slow-burn read yourself, since I don't do spoilers--but there is just one, this is Part One of a two-part story, Part Two will be out at the end of August, and frankly, I can't wait to read it.

I voluntarily read an author-provided advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

Papi and Pequeña

I'm so glad we finally got back to this circle of friends!!!

I knew after meeting Maeve and her friends in book 1 that there were so many stories to tell....and Cat and Alejandro have actually popped up in more than one Laylah book I'm the past, so it's so fitting they were next AND that their story will take two books.

I really felt for Cat and all she'd been through in her life and the reasons she found herself plotting and planning for the information she desperately sought. If anyone deserved a Daddy it really was her.

And don't get me started on her sass and bratting!! 🤣🤣 Laylah has a way with blending serious and heavy topics and themes with light and humor. I don't wait to spoil anything, but her and Doomy Gloomy are comic gold, along with a scene where a certain vibrating device is used as a weapon. You'll love it!

We got more of Reuben in this book too, so I'm REALLY hoping his book is coming...he's been a character of interest for awhile.

And The Scot is new, but also throwing off some major Daddy vibes, so another character I hope we see again down the line.

I am a sucker for Laylah's world building, character development and overall storytelling. It's what keeps me a pre-order one-click happy reader.

It's so good!

Once again, Laylah Roberts has created a book that brought joy to my heart. I loved everything about this book - the characters, the storyline, the hot sex. It had everything I have come to expect from Ms. Roberts. We first met Cat and Alejandro in a previous book and I have been impatiently waiting for their story because they intrigued me from the first glimpse. This book was almost like a prequel because I already knew about their relationship but I actually loved that because it was so much fun seeing how they got to that point. Cat just made me smile with her strength and independent nature. Watching her struggle to actually let go and allow someone else to share her burdens was very relatable. Alejandro just made me swoon with not only his sexiness, but his true desire to help Cat and take care of her. There is just something so appealing about watching a strong, tough male melt into a puddle for the right woman. I can’t wait to see how their story continues to play out.

So Good!!

Cat and Alejandra.. We met Cat and Alejandro other books by this author. Now this is their story.
Cat is a very head strong woman who does not take no for anything and very determined when she puts her mind to it. She’s also very loyal to her friends and never wants to abandon them. Catarina "Cat" has been searching for answers ever since her mother left when she was 16. The only name she has is Alejandro DeLeon who is a major crime boss in New York. Cat takes a job at a restaurant owned by Alejandro to get close to him. When Cat is selected to serve drinks at the poker game for crime bosses she catches the attention of several of thr bosses especially Alejandro. Alejandro is attracted and drawn to Cat and her feistiness but he cannot show it or she could become a weakness to him. But when Cat is attacked by one of the bosses and her apartment trashed Alejandro steps in to protect her. While Cat is staying with Alejandro, they discover she is a little and start to explore. But Cat has not be truthful about herself. Overall, this was an interesting read and gives insight into Alejandro's family dynamics and Reuben makes an appearance. I cannot wait for Tariq and the The Scot's book in this series.

If you are a fan of Laylahs books you will know or read of Cat and Alejandro. Well now they both have their very own story. And what a great story it is as well. Like all of Laylahs books they are intriguing, delightful and funny, and its one you dont want to miss out on,

Cat has escaped with her mother from the cult, but then her mother went and left her with friends. However Cat was wanting to find who killed her father, but had to wait till she finished school. Now Cat is old enough and her one target is to find Alejandro. Her first meeting with him was different than what she expected. But as she gets to know him, he brings out her little more and more But there are bad men out there and Alejandro has enemies. Can he keep her safe? And what will happen when he finds out who she really is and what she is doing there?

I was looking forward to Cat and Alejandros story and this did not disappoint. It was sweet, sexy, and funny.

Cat is very much the firecracker with a more fragile center than she wants people to know. Alejandro is the big tough guy except with his precious one, who he becomes a caring, protective, and loving partner too.

I was a little disappointed at first by the ending, because usually we get a little more after the couple officially decides to be together but then I learned there will be a second book with this couple which I am excited for because I do think there is so much more that can be explored.

The author really knows how to set up supporting characters and having me hope for an eventual book with their story, I want a book with the Scot as well as Immy like yesterday XD.

Rating 4. I received an ARC Copy from the author.
CW: This book includes talk of sexual assault off page. Also, violence off page. This is an age-play novel.

This is the second book in the Crime Boss Daddies series by Ms. Roberts. The main characters are featured as side characters is several of her MC Daddies books. I would classify this book as a light Mafia novel . It is not a dark romance but the the MMC is the highest ranking criminal boss in the city.

This book is also light on age-play with only three scenes. The FMC is just discovering her Little side.

This is the first book in a two part series, but it is not a cliffhanger. Of course like any Laylah Roberts book it is full of fantastic side characters that you fall in love with and want more.

Wow! When I started this book I knew it would be good, but it ended up being so much more! My heart is full and I’m a bit emotional. How can you not just love and adore Cat! She’s beautiful, witty, endearing and just the perfect Little for Alejandro! He may be a big, bad crime boss, but when he meets Cat for the first time? All bets are off! He’s not sure why, but he knows he needs her in his life! I enjoyed their witty interactions and how Cat certainly keeps him on his toes! But what will happen when he finds out the truth? These two just made me feel all good ins de and I rooted for them throughout! Plus their chemistry was so sizzling I thought my kindle might catch on fire! A truly delightful story!!

Cat and Alejandro’s story!

Papi’s Protection is book two of the Crime Boss Daddies series of interconnected standalones. I have been waiting for Cat and Alejandro’s story for a while and boy was it worth the wait! And we will get more of them next month in book three! I loved Cat so much and her sassiness was everything! I loved that she stood up to Alejandro and that she brought out his softer side. And Alejandro was everything I have come to love about Laylah’s daddies! He is gruff, protective and has a sweet spot for his Cat! Cat’s childhood did bring out the emotions in me but her personality and attitude had me laughing all throughout this book. I can’t wait for more of Cat and Alejandro in Papi’s Savior coming out August 23rd!

Cat and Alejandro

I really enjoyed this book. Though I admit it left me with a few questions sometimes and some confusion at other moments. If Alejandro is only 34, then why would he have been thought to have anything to do with Cat's bio father?? He would have only been 14 when she was born??
He wasn't in the States until he was 21 after everything happened with his ex. So when Cat's father was killed, Alejandro wasn't even in the U.S. yet. With all that being said, I did enjoy the dianamic between the two of them, and I'm glad everything worked out in the end, and Alejandro didn't send Cat packing after her lies were discovered.

I loved it!😋

Cat was another survivor from the group of friends trapped in the Cult their parents joined, and barely escaping just before she would have been forced at 16, to marry " The Diety " she helps the authorities to shut it down, saving her friends, who helped her and her Mom escape. Years later, her Mother leaves, and Catarina comes up with a plan to get close to Alexander Dr Leon, to learn about the Father she never knew. Nothing goes like she plans, but she has a crazy time discovering about her Little side, and finding the Love of her life. Beautiful HEA ending. Trish. A.

Oh where to even start with this book. I have been waiting for Cat and Alexandros book to come out and I gotta say I was not disappointed. Cat is funny and sassy, and definitely didn't have the best childhood. Alejandro is stern and patient, everything a good daddy is, b These ut his softer side comes out with Cat. These two are perfect for each other. But there story isn't over yet, we will get to see more of them next month when the second book comes out, until then enjoy there story, I know I did!

Papi's Protection

Once again, I love this book, and I can't fault the writing or content. My only grumble is that this book is spread over 2 parts and is the only book within any of Laylahs series that is like this, so it ruins the book vibes, lol. Also, it's not really a cliffhanger ending and kind of feels complete as a story, so I'm not sure what more is needed that would warrant another book. Still can't wait to read the next book. I just wish it was about the next character as there are so many I want to have their own book!!

I've waited patiently for Cat and Alejandros' story, NOT, and my wait is over! This book is everything and more! This is the second book in the Crime Boss series and the first of "Little" Cat finding her Daddy Dom Alejandro with part two coming later this summer.
It is fantastic! It's a wild emotional rollercoaster ride, I laughed, I cried, I got mad, I got over it and had to turn up the AC its so HOT! I loved it and am so ready for the next part of their epic story and to see what that book has in store!
Well done Layman Roberts, well done!

I loved the banter between Cat and Alejandro. It was very entertaining and I laughed a lot while reading their story. I love the way Roberts showed the two distinct sides of Alejandro (dangerous and loving) and how he related to Cat. It’s a great story because it holds your attention while you wonder what will happen next. The danger is still present but being controlled. This is a story is definitely worth reading.
