My artist mother gave me this little gem of a book a few years before she died and I haven’t seen anything as descriptive of her than this wish.

Today our dear friend Mark gave this to our son, and we read it to him this evening.
It is a beautiful book. Beautiful art and beautiful words, expressing your wish for your child's life to be filled with beauty, glory, and wisdom.

This is one of the most beautiful books I have seen in some time. A five-star book! I happened upon it at the library book sale for only fifty cents and what a treasure! The poem that is used in the book is precious. I am including the poem here in the review but you need to get your hands on this book and take some time to absorb the accompanying artwork. I will be reading this to my grandson the first chance I get with the understanding that it will go over his head at first but eventually, he will come to understand the sweet sentiment behind the words.

I was given the larger version of this book by a good friend. I was excited to see the smaller version to share with my granddaughters. The verse is lovely, and the prints lovelier.

The poem/blessing is lovely in its simplicity, and while it has nothing to do with SAI, it put me very much in mind of the ideals of the fraternity. As nice as that is, the illustrations are what truly make this book. Every library should have a copy of this. It's just the thing to pull out whenever you need some beauty in your life.

I love how this book gently caresses many of the gifts this life offers. It's like cupping the velvet cheek of a child; there is joy in the moment, but the heart sees far beyond that instant and one's soul is expanded. You feel part of something greater.

This book was given to me by a dear friend. Each page contains a wish or blessing, illustrated by a variety of artists with a poem by Snell in the center—a beautiful book!.

This is a book created to be given. At its center is a poem by Charles Snell which was written for, and published in 1914 as a small gift book. Beautiful borders and art to accompany each wish.

Meh it's a poem with fancy old fashioned pictures. Some of the pictures were nice.
