As usual, the minute I started reading a Sarah Noffke book, I was hooked, and immediately swept away into her world.
I absolutely love the Beaufonts, so to have this next generation to read about, is wonderful.
Book Five was just as funny, thrilling, exasperating, joyful, tender, and full of puns as I expect from these books and, just like all the other Beaufonts, Rose has her own goals that she has to reach, her own mountains to climb and, more importantly, her own bridges to span, and it's certainly not been made any easier for her, despite her loving family willing to help.
Because, in this book, it was all about Rose working out who she really is, and what she needs to do to answer that question.
I really enjoyed this story, with all of it's complexities, and queries, it's mysteries, and revelations. But I loved it, especially, for the relationship that Rose has found with her Father.
My own Dad isn't with us now, nor my Mum, and it sometimes hits me hard when I realise just what is missing now but, like the Beaufonts, I hope to be the kind of parent to my child, that they are, to theirs, and their family motto 'Familia Est Sempiternum' or, 'Family Is Forever', is one I hope will always be true for me, and mine - after all, I even bought the T-shirt! Lol
But, as I've now finished this book, and have to wait until mid August for the following one in the series, I guess I should go back to the series I'm half way through, and which I abandoned, to read the latest DUO book, as well as this one.
So, I'm now off to read book five of the Heavy Metal Series: 'Get Out Of Our Way', and I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
Rose had a very improbable chance of closing down the black market until she was able to enlist the help of the rest of the Beaufonts who all had a reason to be there and help her close it down. I thought she finally had Mefora captured until the wall opened and someone saved her. The idea that someone was helping Mefora and Rose at the same time was a bit mind boggling. How could someone help evil and good at the same time. Well, I guess I'll have to read the next book to find out why and how. This book though is full of fast action and raises other questions about what is going to happen in the near future.
You know, when you really like an author’s work, it simply stops being surprising when they produce an excellent piece of work, and that just so happens to be the case here.
This book runs at a much faster pace than it’s predecessors, but the pace of the story bears no connection to its quality which remains constant as “slow-Sarah” is in the House (of Fourteen?) and doesn’t appear to be leaving any time soon.
Of course, I might be biased since she took a suggestion I offered and briefly incorporated it in such a way that I couldn’t help but laugh. Still, I really do believe I’m judging this fairly. Just to be sure, you should grab a copy and make your own decision. Lol. See what I did there? I get nothing out of these reviews other than seeing an author whose work I enjoy continuing to write more. So jump on board and see if I’m right. Then, either way, leave a review if ur own. I’m pretty sure you’re guaranteed to enjoy!
Book five already and this exciting and enthralling series with Rose & Elvis continues. It’s a fantastic addition, fun, action packed and over flowing with puns as the adventures to take down the Shadow Walker Coven carries on. This pulls you in as once again these evil witches threaten to take down the house of fourteen by trying to manipulate time. Full of magic and twists and turns as secrets are revealing and shocking surprises that knock Rose for six but won’t stop her doing what must be done, just like a true Beaufont!
Sarah and Michael are a powerhouse duo to write so many intriguing stories for the expanding Beaufont family. Each of the lead female characters humbly “come of age” in this magical world of witches, warlocks, Giants, Ogres, Magicians, Fairies and fantasy creatures such as dragons and chimeras. Loaded with a bit of mystery, mayhem and a large amount of magic, I find each book enlarges the universe in a most satisfying way! Can’t wait to see how Rose, the youngest of the Beaufont women, develops into a larger power player. Fun!!!
Rose and Elvis need to bring down the Black Magic Market, but first they have to find it, then figure out how. Rose is also trying to figure out who is giving her clues to help her out and who is shadowing her. Rose is really starting to believe in herself in this book and is learning more all the time. I am looking forward to more stories in the series to see what more she learns and becomes.
good read but little convoluted Rose breaks the witches finds a savior
Rose and her Chinese dragon find out who is following her. She finds a hidden message helping give her a path to breaking the witches black market. She calls in the family to help and completes her task. She give to charity and receives double back. She has important information for London. She is really busy but is given another job by her follower.
Black Magic Market (The Uncountable Rose Beaufont book 5
Well, I'm that much closer to finding out about our heroine Rose Beaufont! Each story tells me more about her abilities, and her strengths, and how they will help her to protect Magic, mortals, and the balance between them all. I can hardly wait to read her next adventure in book 6! Thanks Sarah for having such a great imagination along with the ability to weave stories so well!
With this universe, it's always interesting just how much family saves the world and makes the characters' challenges so intriguing. Although I saw where this one was going pretty fast, it's great to see the good guys/gals win, especially when we are about 40 books in, but the series still feels fresh.
Congratulations to Sarah Noffke and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
Black market magic. By Sarah noffke. The world building in this series is good. Like every book, it has a new location in it, and the way the author begins in the new location is very well done. Also, I love the continued delivery of information from mother nature and father time that leaves you with more questions than answers, lol
Rose goes to the Black Magic Market! She sees things that are illegal and needs to find a way to shut it down. She is getting secret help but does not know who it is. Also an old promise comes to light.
Wow didn't see that coming. Lots of interesting plots and twists. Rose is on a convoluted road, and Elvis is in for the money. London is a man to keep a watch on. Things are really heating up. Enjoy
Loving this series with Rose and Elvis plus all their family and friends. What a tide can’t wait for next instalment and don’t have to all lined up to go woo hoo can’t wait. Come enjoy the ride as the Beaufort books all rock
Another brilliant book. I just love Rose and Elvis they bounce off each other so well and when Lunar gets involved it gets better. Trying to picture a huge Dragon cracking jokes with a tiny counterpart is great. The whole of this series just keeps getting better.
