Although the dialogue is a little stilted in the fashion of 80's picture books, the delightful story, clever plot, and charming illustrations make this a book that is perpetually enjoyed by kids. Who wouldn't want a fun aunt like Nina who is so full of surprises? She fills her house with kid-friendly fun, both listens and speaks kids' language, and someone who throws a birthday party for her cat!
I like this better than the other one. The illustrations are nice. It's a very short and simple story. Easy to read, enough interesting things to look at, repetition and all that. Very good.
