One of my aunts bought this book for me and my five siblings, but I think I was the only one who read it -- and read it, and read it, and read it. We lived in the country far away from the county library, so this was my library. This book was my main exposure to many classic fairy tales as well as limericks and more modern children's literature like "Harriet the Spy". I wish I could put my hands on a copy for my own kids.
