This book is super cute!!! Even though the background is sad and heart-rending. But I love how how the brothers are each others' lifelines. Love the sibling bond! And all the babies are so cute!! Nii-chan became my fav word lol. Everything and everyone is super adorable.
The premise is that after becoming orphans, two brothers, one middle schooler and the other a baby are adopted by the headmistress of an academy who also lost her son and daughter law in the same plane crash and the two brothers, their parents. (Both couples are unrelated). The headmistress asks the elder bro (am bad with names) to help earn his keep by becoming a babysitter for the babies of teachers after school. And also to form a club to help for the same.
I WILL PROTECT THESE KIDS WITH MY LIFE AND AT ALL COSTS. The cutest, kindest and most adorable kid is Kotaro and when he says "Nii-chan", I feel like I could pass out from the cuteness.
10/10 will recommend the anime too.
--------------------- My #700th book on GR, I cannot believe I even read so much lol.
I love this so much! The concept is awesome. And as always, there's no drama in Manga and anime without making your heart go puddles and learn some basic life lessons.
This one is just perfect.
One of the best found family scenarios.
I love "shaggy", the brothers and the other brothers, the other kids, the smart scary girl, the sleepy other babysitter, the assistant, the twins' father.
So adorable! I really needed a fun manga to distract myself from the dark thoughts that my depression gives me... This one definitely distracted me! Definitely gonna read more of this manga!
It has definitely became a habit to reread this whenever my mental health is particularly bad... I'm not complaining tho, I love this series!
I came to this from the anime, and the manga is just as adorable as the anime. Just sweet and wholesome, and sometimes I get teary eyed, but I always have a smile on my face. There's no romance (at least not as far as I've read), just lots of cuteness.
I usually don't like slice of life but this is top notch and does have enough details and development to make it eventful. This didn't leave me with that "nothing happened" feeling that some other slice of life do. There is some light humor, and there are also some emotional moments, not a full on make-you-cry fest like Aishiteruze Baby but it is similarly endearing.
I feel like a better person after reading this series. The characters and the mood and tone are just so pure. Not every character is pleasant, but we see better sides of them emerge as they are immersed in the lovable atmosphere.
The sort of chibi art style used to depict the toddlers is expressive and charming. Also want to make special note of the protagonist, he is such a sweet and powerfully good-hearted character, in a way that is memorable and convincing.
I just watched the anime and I love it so much! It's about Ryuu and his baby brother, Kotarou, who are taken in by a schoolmaster after their parents died in an airplane crash. The schoolmaster enlists Ryuu into the babysitter club that takes care of the teachers' children. It's a slice of life story and it's the cuuuutest. This manga is almost exactly like the anime but there's even more chapters than episodes out. THANK GOD bc I needed more!
Plenty of manga bills itself as wholesome, but this one truly is - Ryu and his little brother Kotaro are recently orphaned and adopted by an old woman who lost her only family in the same plane crash. She's outwardly gruff and grumpy, but there's more going on under the surface, and it's clear that she and the boys need each other. That's almost ancillary to Ryu trying to cope with his feelings of loss and responsibility towards his toddler brother, and the emotional through-line here is strong. Warm, a little sad, and totally lovable, this is a charmer.
This is an adorable and funny manga series, where each chapter is its own short story pertaining to the characters of the day care. The children are adorable, the main character is a good-natured airhead and the supporting cast is fun.
