The Corpus Fontium Historiae Byzantinae includes texts written by Byzantine historiographers and chroniclers as well as other documents of historical relevance from the 4th to the 15th centuries. The main objective of each volume is the presentation of a critical text based on all extant manuscripts; a detailed introduction informing about the author and the work as well as the manuscripts and their relation to each other is included in addition to several apparatus and indices.

ترجمه‌ی خوب و قابل قبولی داره.
مقدمه‌ی کتاب هم برای این که بدونید چه درجه‌ای از اعتبار باید به این کتاب داده بشه مفیده.
آگاثیاس البته که منبع مهمی برای تاریخ ساسانیان هست
اما
باید توجه داشت که قلم در دست دشمنیه که در حال جنگ با شاهان ساسانی بوده!
و بعضی جاها
به وضوح اطلاعات ناکامل و برداشت‌های نادرستی از رسوم پارسیان داشته.

Fuente bastante interesante aunque aparentemente poco fiable. Hace excursus frecuentes algunos más interesantes que otros pero en general me han gustado y (hasta donde yo sé) es la única fuente que narra el cierre de la Academia fundada por Platón y el exilio persa de los filósofos, evento al cual los historiadores le dan importancia por significar el fin de una era.
