While reading the Book, I was taking some important notes. At one point, I wanted to copy the whole book on my notebook. Very informative yet very interesting to read.
After reading another theatre history book, and seeing how absolutely miserable it was, I felt compelled to add to my reading list my long-ago read college text "The Theatre: An Introduction." This book was part of a year long theatre history class required for my acting major. It encapsulated the details, the imagery and magic of theatre, told in an excellent format which gives the reader a real appreciation for the art and science of theatre and acting.
