Thunder was supposed to be charming, sexy, and dangerous. He was cheesy, smarmy, and a bully. Carrie was supposed to be grounded and smart. She was dull and contrary. They had no chemistry and the sex scenes were awkward. Expecting Thunder's Baby was flat but what is worse is that it was boring.
I am giving this one 2.5 stars. It was a predictable story, but I did enjoy the characters. I was hoping we would have more of the "suspense" side of the story with Thunder's work and the investigation, but we didn't get any resolution there.
I checked this book out of the library and am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
This is the first of three books on Trueno men. I read the second one first and almost didn't read this one. This one was much better. The story revolves around two people who married young due to her becoming pregnant. But soon divorced when she miscarried. Now twenty years later he is back. He needs help with an investigation. He decided that the chemistry between them was still there. And wants to see how it will go. But when she gets pregnant things get heated. Will he get the one woman who held his heart back? Or will she walk away?
Heart wrenching decisions. Love that can never be founded nor acted upon. And a baby that they made together.... again. Just some of the answers you'll find out when you read this book. 5 stars worth of love.
