After living in the Foster system, Zoe Howard does not trust easily. She moves to Law Castle with the hope of settling down. What she doesn’t expect is to be the woman that three men desire.
Jake, Brent, and Connor have been friends all their lives. They want a woman to share, and they know that woman is Zoe. However, she keeps all three men at arm's length. Her reluctance is frustrating as they know she wants them back.
Zoe is reluctant to give herself to three men. She’s scared to love and to trust again. All three men fight her resolve and show her how it can feel to be loved by all of them. When Zoe ends up in danger, her men realize the love they feel for her.
But could they be too late to tell her how they feel?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

I wanted to read this book because I have read other books by Sam Crescent that I really loved, so I decided to give this one a try. The only thing that I didn’t like was that this was part of a series and I missed the first one.
As I was reading this book I started wondering what it would be like to have three men at my beck and call. I think that I could get used to it. It would be exciting. Especially if I had one that loved to cook just like Connor. I enjoyed meeting all three men and finding out all about them.
This is a different menage. I’ve never read one where all three men are straight and they only want one woman between them. Talk about a dream come true for the woman that they pick. The only thing is, is that they pick Zoe and she just fights it. She didn’t have a great childhood and never let herself depend on anyone. She never stays long enough to put down any roots.
I really enjoyed reading about Jake, Connor, and Brent. They all have different things that they do to make extra money and it isn’t anything that you would think about. I loved how the author brought all four of them together. They all have something that helps two of them heal. I won’t give any spoilers. I will just tell you that you should really take the time and read this book. I was glad that I did.
I am hoping that there is another one coming out because there is more men that needs a story.
Zoe works in the local bar. She is a waitress, with a bad reputation for being unfriendly and distant. No one knows her past and she isn't willing to tell anyone either. She plans on leaving soon anyway, so why make friends! Jake, Brent and Connor, closer than brothers, know they will share a women between them. They want one women they can call their own, and share a life with. They are all attracted to the new waitress Zoe but she won't give them the time of day, and they don't understand why. Menage relationships are a norm in this town. They keep working on her and eventually she will not be able to resist the men's advances, or they hope!
Zoe has a past of hardship and heart ache. Going from foster home to foster home, never having someone to really love or a place to call home. She is independent and strong. The guys are determined. But with trouble brewing in the small city, will it destroy any chances they have. Adults only ...menage. Great read...Liked this one even better that book 1. Zoe is a strong female character and the guys are sexy with there own issues as well. Wonderful read!
I just could not see the draw that Zoe had for them. Her prickly personality and cold walls just did not seem to have any pull, so I could not see why the three of them were so certain she was right for them. I think if the book had started with them first meeting and starting to chase her, it might have seemed more realistic, instead of jumping in at the point where she was about to give in to their advances. There is also a small suspense/drama side plot as well as a drastic secret revealed from Connor's past, all of which could have stood to be fleshed out more. However, once the four of them start to give in to their attraction, the bedroom action is pretty hot!
It had a good concept but seemed to fall short. The story really dragged along and was a bit annoying it kept going over the same points. Not nearly as entertaining as the first book in the series. It did grab you at the end. There were several steamy scenes to enjoy throughout. I hope there will be more to this series especially because two side characters plot line was hanging at the end of this book. Not terrible but not a favorite either.
For some reason I really don't like how this series is written compared to other Sam Crescent novels. However this one was alright to read. I would of liked more to be centered on the guys relationship with Zoe.
Awesome Book~ Look'n for an exciting escape from reality... Then curl up with a Sam Crescent read; she brings the HEA with all the HEAT & feels we need in our RoMANce!
Homerun times four. I can't even spew the words I want to say about this book. Jake, Connor, and Brent were amazing and Zoe was even pretty likable. Enjoyed the book emmencly.
Law Castle is the kind of place Zoe Howard had hoped to put down roots, although now it looks like it will be just one more stop along the way. She learned the hard way to never let people get too close, because it just hurts too much to see them leave.
The day Jake, Brent, and Connor caught a glimpse of Zoe they knew right away she was the woman for them, yet six months later they are still no closer to having her.
Even though her body begs to give in to the desire, Zoe knows she is better off keeping her distance from Jake, Brent, and Connor. She has heard the “love ‘em and leave ‘em” stories far too often to want to risk her heart, yet the yearning to be with them has not abated. Jake and Brent want her so bad it hurts, but it is Connor who really needs what only Zoe can give him. When Zoe becomes the focus of a drug dealing creep, the guys must find a way around her defenses or risk losing her for good.
There is a wonderful story behind these four characters that I think needs to be played out in full to really get a feel for the dynamic between them. Zoe is a firecracker when pushed, and it shows up in full force - especially when she is dealing with Connor. Jake and Brent, however, take more of a passive role in their relationship, which I would love to see develop in full. They all keep you wanting more, and ready for the next in the series.
I don’t know how to start this review, so I will just jump into it. I liked this book, I liked Zoe; I understood and also liked her tough attitude. But at the same time I wanted to shout at her to let them in and start to trust Jake, Brent and Connor. I liked Jake and Brent but it took me a little while to like Connor. I understood that he had something in his past that he was ashamed to tell anybody about but it took him forever to open up to not only his woman but also his two best friends. I did get a teensy bit bored in the middle of the book but I think I just lost concentration.
Zoe is a bartender in the towns local bar ‘’the dugout’’. She has only been in town for six months but she’s closed herself off from making friends. Zoe is blunt, to the point and most people would describe her as a total bitch! But what people don’t know, is that Zoe’s parents died when she was ten, she was placed in foster care but nothing stuck. She is just a young woman that is scared of loving any more people that will leave her. Jake, Brent and Connor have wanted Zoe since they first seen her, but after six months of being ignored and mean comments from Zoe, they are nearly ready to give up on her. But when Zoe reluctantly gives in and soon grows attached to Jake, Brent and Connor. But just as they move forward Connors issues come to the surface and its Zoe that gets him to open up. But when Zoe is in danger, its up to Connor, Jake and Brent to save her.
......... It was hard to have an emotional connection with the characters....I don’t see the allure of Zoe to these crazy hot men that constantly have women falling all over them. The hard to get may be fun for a while, but she really put up a wall of resistance. With the three men not having any sexual contact with each other I can’t fathom how Zoe would it for them. That said, Sam Crescent writes good sex! When it came down to it, it was good. The skimming of details during the fast forward of time was irritating. I would have liked to have read through the one on one action between Zoe and each guy...
On a side note that is surely addressed in book one (which I have not read)what is the deal with the "Law Castle Bad Boys"?!?! They aren't a motorcycle gang or anything really. It sounds very high school that they are so well known and women travel to see them when they are nothing but some guys that work at a garage.
I really enjoyed this book. Sam will brings the story to life and really makes you feel for the characters. Zoe and Connor had some issues but they helped each other with their issues. Jake and Brent were so supportive. I like the back characters it brings more depth to the book. I am a big fan of Sam Crescent and she never disappoints!
