From award winning and USA Today bestselling author India R. Adams comes an explosive romance of fated lovers starting a war that will bring them to their knees. A slow burn kind of beginning? No. Not in the slightest. I’m fighting to live. She’s planning to die. It’s a soul to soul—fire to fire— start to our story that creates a perfect storm. As the Vice President of the Steel Stallions, there’s only one thing to do after escaping my enemy. Live. But the only way that seems possible is by accepting the help of a nightclub manager who’s doing her best to escape her own dangerous past. It all started with a kiss that would forever change the course of our fates. A kiss that should never have happened but was meant to be. Now we have to face the fury of the mafia prince who thinks he owns her. Hostile Fates (Book two) is a dark Snow White Motorcycle Club reimagining and an interconnected standalone novel in the MC Steel Stallions series.

This is a new author for me. And I walked into this book completely blind ……… all I was told about this author is she wrote some very Dark themes. And Jesus H. Christ take the author’s warning Seriously,
This book had 3 parts to it ….. the 1st part was the hardest for me to read! There were times I Literally had to walk away from it…… then there were the times I wanted to Yell WTF, but I was on the train and didn’t want to seem like Lunatic………. Oh okay you got me- more of an Lunatic then I already am… Hehe …… Part 2 was more like Lynx and Elle’s love story……… and part 3, well I’ll leave that to your imagination………..
Get ready to have your heart pulled out of your chest with this Tragic love story
We will learn that -Stallions live hard, but they love even harder. My question to myself is -Where do I start with this one? Cuz there so much that I’d like to share, but at the same time there is so much I’d want to hold back and let you Experience them on your own.
Please let me repeat myself. …. Let me first state that if you have triggers, please heed these authors warnings……
How do two tortured yet destined souls find each other? They survive their hostile fates.
in his young eyes he lived in a Perfect world.... idolized his father, he adored his mother and loved and watched over his baby sister.... so many times, he looked up to his father with that aww in his eyes……. Lynx’s mother was the kindest woman he knew… she Showered both him and his baby sister with Unconditional love, until that tragic night he would never be the same …… I guess that’s what happens when your father is the President of the Steel Stallions MC
Nothing in her world is as it seems.
Elle- she was born in captivity, lived in one little room for over a decade, and was raised by a twelve-year-old kidnapped child…. She never felt the breeze of wind blowing through her hair, or feel the grass between her toes……. All she knew was that tiny room until she lost everything she knew imagine her horror, not knowing her whole life had been in captivity she didn’t even realize existed until the night her mother tried to free her
She caught the attention of the most notorious man in the underworld. she had no idea their worst nightmares had come true. She didn’t know what a nightmare was because she had never not lived in one. You can’t have an outside view when always stuck inside the terror
This is where two broken souls’ cross path after each had suffer tragic events in their life’s
I think one of the most beautiful parts of their love story is all they had to go through to get to where they are today. Would it have been easier if they were two perfect people in a perfect relationship? Maybe, but it would’ve lacked the heart and gumption they shared, even in the tough times. In fact, all this made ‘normal’ tough times seem easy.
Note to self, never read India R. Adams’s books in public! Always try to have. Box of tissues nearby as well as a good bottle of wine……….
Loving a biker is not for everyone. These men and women are of a breed that defies gravity, all while pulling you into a hemisphere you didn’t know existed. But once you get a taste, you either run... or let their world consume you. Will she let herself be consumed?
If I thought I cried through Hostile Saint…. Hostile Fates literally broke me.
India R Adams dives deep into the true horror of human trafficking. This book does not cushion you in the absolute horrific actions of sex traffickers and what victims of all ages go though. This book touches on child sex trafficking. And the first half of the book describing the MC literally broke me. Her tragic story is sick. Maddening. Horrendous. You’ll get SO mad at that world and grab hold of all your loved ones a little closer.
Though the victim of trafficking and incest by her pedophile father, Elle kept living. Not knowing anything different but a small room and her mom - for years she was kept a secret. The first half of the book is about Elle’s life from birth to puberty. Until her fathers debt creeped up on him and Elle leaves her home for the first time ever - as a payment to another evil man.
“Fate is fate. Even the hostile ones.”
Lynx. Son to the prez of the Steel Stallions. He witnessed the brutal murder of his mother while protecting his sister and that paved his future. Who he is. What he’s become. Until Elle.
Both Elle and Lynx share something in common. Traumas. Lost loved ones. And battling an internal war of self love and discovery. What is their destiny?
“Sealing our hostile fates, the Mafia Princess slipped her hand into mine and became MC royalty.”
This book was full of heartache, but it has so much healing and love intertwined. It’s a book with so much love and hope. Elle has an entire biker gang protecting her and healing her - it’s a beautiful story.
“What was developing between Lynx and me could only be understood by those who had been charred by Hell’s flames, while still being capable of lifting their stubborn chins and flipping off the Devil.”
‘Legend leaned back in his chair, rubbing his own spooky greys. “I’m not going to pretend I understand the mystic shit happening between you and my son right now, but I’m also not going to ignore a gift when placed in my hands.” Gift? Reading my mind, he said, “Yeah, you heard me. Gift.” He let his muscled arms hang at his sides as he stared at me. “I’ve been watching this young, pain-in-my-ass Stallion be chased since he hit puberty. But never, and I mean never, has he allowed himself to get caught.”
India R Adams has a well deserved reputation for writing dark and meaningful books. She has earned that, and her readers look to her to find sense in the harshest of realities.
Hostile Fates is just as dark, just as deep, as her other MC books, yet it has something else, too. It has hope.
As I read each chapter of this book, I recognized the hope that India weaves through every bit of suffering. Watching Elle and Lynx create their own ‘hope’ world, it isn’t in any way ridiculous to feel their hearts beating as one. Their souls stitching together is what moves this story beyond the pain.
If you have read India’s book, you will also know that her magic is infused in the people that meet, crossing from one book to another, one series to another.
But there is always light. A light that may sometimes be hidden, but that we feel deep in our hearts. How she moves us beyond the page, feeling so much, is the perfection of her writing.
So, yes, these are dark reads. But they reflect the light that every heart needs when it feels like it is hidden.
Being sucked back into this world is not for the weak, but boy is it always worth it.
I cannot put into words how to express the glee I get as a reader when there is all these interconnecting stories and loops in multiple series. Yes, sometimes I feel like I’m completely lost and confused. Can’t even imagine India’s brain.
But when things come full circle and then we get more bread crumbs??? Gahhh the anxiety and impatience turned adrenaline is a feeling I have come to treasure with this author.
Where to even begin with this story?
A masterpiece? Always.
Left panting for more? Always.
Ugly cry book hangover? Always.
Am I still missing my own biker? Yes. Yes I still am Miss India R Adams.
Back to the book, gahh Elle, a fricken warrior. No better words to describe her. Lynx being her Prince Charming in a leather vest riding a steel stallion? Epic.
Their chemistry was soul crunching. The journey of pain and sorrow just made their love shine brighter.
HEA well deserved and fought for.
If you enjoy angst with your bad biker men, this one is for you. You may curse me out for the rec but meh you’ll get over it.
Now to wait for the next morsel. *insert sad puppy eyes emoji*
OMG every time I read one of this author’s books, I’m blown away by her talent with the way she can deliver some of the darkest yet most meaningful books that I have the pleasure of reading. I couldn’t get enough of Elle and Lynx’s story…talk about heart breaking. This book was dark and gritty that pulled me in from the start and I just couldn’t put it down.
I don’t want to give anything away so all I can say is that this book is a must read for all MC readers out there who love their stories with real meaning and triumph behind them.
Every time I start another book I wonder if I will do the story justice. The same goes for this special couple, Elle and Lynx. They amaze me! They are strong and worthy of the roles they have any many lives with the Steel Stallions.
I'm stunned. So much happened in this book; every character was touched in one way or another. I cried, I laughed, I contacted the author in disgust at what she'd done.... she knows!!!!
I can't wait to see how this series plays out because there is still so much further to go.
This book is an origins story of sorts. The first book in this series -𝑯𝑶𝑺𝑻𝑰𝑳𝑬 𝑺𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑻 ( I absolutely loved it, you can read my review here of that book ➜︎ https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... ) takes place in time after this book. In it MC President, Lynx and his “old lady” Elle (Precious) are secondary characters. This book is their story in their youth. It’s incredibly tragic, heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. This story is dark and touches on very sensitive topics such as human trafficking, sex slavery and all the horrific things that come with that. It’s handled very well in my opinion, it’s not light subject matter nor is it a dark romance. It’s a romance that has dark aspects within the character’s experiences. Loss, survival and trust are the central themes throughout. The story is even paced and has a few time jumps that move the story forward. It’s absolutely heart wrenching at so many times, I was touched by so many moments. The author blends light moments with beauty in and it makes for a very emotional, satisfying reading experience. I really like the characters and felt so much sympathy for them. Lynx and Elle have a bond that transcends explanation. It’s a bit of an other worldly/spiritual connection. The MC guys are entertaining and incredibly lovable. It’s a rough, emotional journey for all the characters, every moment of joy is hard earned. That makes the little things so special. I felt Elle adapted to life out of captivity really well considering everything, I had to remind myself it is fiction. It’s a small part that didn’t work great for me personally. The author has a style that takes on rough subjects and gritty characters and showcases their vulnerabilities, humanity and strengths. Overall it’s a great story, memorable, lovable characters and poetic writing.
Where do I start with this one? I dont think i can give it the review it deserves without spoilers. Every aspect of the book is tightly interwoven. It's just so full of argh, sigh, omg, wow, grrrrrr.
By C5, my heart was breaking. My friend took one look at me and said India? Hahaha.
I do love how India weaves her characters from other books into each other. Diesel is brought in to play in this one (Haunted Roads) gotta love Diesel.
This instalment of Steel Stallions starts from the beginning. So it's before Saint and Lacey. (Oh how my heart wept for those two). We get to understand more of why Steel Stallions and Redemption Ryders are who they are. Although this didn't end on one of Indias' gut-wrenching, dont do this to me cliffhangers. It does have a cliffhanger. I think we're going to be learning a lot more about the Hell Furies and Lorenzo in the future.
You know you're reading India Amdams when you're crying within the first chapter, laughing by the middle, and madly in love with over half the characters by the end.
To say I am a fan is an understatement. I love the way India isn't afraid to touch on the darkest parts of our world, let her characters fight their way through and find their own sort of healing in the end.
This woman destroys me every single time and I still keep coming back for more.
You would never expect these great big burly biker dudes to be the biggest teddy bears but the found family trope in these books is the biggest pull on my heartstrings. I can't get enough of their unit and their individual stories.
Now...all I need is more Daddy Dagger and I am set.
Read if you like: -Fated Mates -Motorcycle romance -Snow white twist -Low Spice. High emotional damage
They say that the pen is mightier than the sword, and this author proves that again and again and again. I warn you, once you pick up one of this authors books, you will never be the same again simply because her words carve deeply into your heart and mind, while forcing you to take the blinders off and see things that you might not want to. Every single time I'm completely wrecked emotionally, and I wouldn't want it any other way. This book gives us Elle and Lynx's story and it is gut-wrenching, heart breaking, laugh out loud, scream and curse at the Fates, Gods and the evil that people do, sweet, poignant, disturbing, tragic, steamy, exciting, suspenseful, dramatic, heart melting and undeniably epically swoon worthy. Be prepared to fall and I mean FALL HARD as this couple takes you on a brutal journey through insidious darkness that is filled with so much pain but also so much love that it makes every single tear you will shed (And believe me, you will cry SO many!) worth it. I need much, much more of this series ASAP!! This is my freely posted, frank review.
This book is freaking INTENSE! Lynx and Elle's story is raw, honest, gritty, sometimes ugly yet hopeful, healing, and will leave you dying for more! In Hostile Fates, India R. Adams once again shines the light on a very real and heartbreaking subject impacting our world more each year. Her books are not fluffy, nor does she pull punches, yet the reward is so much sweeter because of it.
"I’m fighting to live. She’s planning to die."
This line hit me harder than most. It summed up Lynx and Elle's story so perfectly. I didn't expect the journey I was about to take when I opened this book, but it was one hell of a ride. I didn't expect the hell these two went through not only to survive but also so they could thrive. My emotions were all over the place, from one tragic moment to another moment full of light and beauty.
One fortuitous meeting and multiple lives are changed forever. Plans are set in motion, lives are changed, and their world will never be the same. Yet somehow, amid chaos and destruction, Elle and Lynx find their purpose and reasons to carry on. Their story was heartwrenching and harrowing but also full of discovery, love, and hope.
If you're familiar with this world, you'll enjoy seeing familiar faces, the early years of beloved characters, and how all these amazing souls "found" each other in the midst of hell.
I cannot wait to see what will come next in this world of bikers, beauties, and new beginnings.
Can this author write a bad book? The tears and the smiles and the tragedy and ... I could keep going. Elle and Lynx, wow! This story i freaking intense.
5*+ Lynx is still a loose cannon in the mc but when trouble comes and his dad gets In the firing line he steps up. The only problem is its 6 against one but the risk is worth it. Finding an allie when Elle steps up to help him, he feels the connection but will she trust him? When he discovers the life that she's had forced on her he's determined to give her everything. What another fantastic book I absolutely loved it.
Hostile Fates is a brilliantly written story of survival. It's heartbreaking in some places and in other places I was mad as heck and wanted to injure someone. It's an intense, consuming story that you just can't put down once you start. Lynx and Elle, both in their own way have lived through horrors that most can't even imagine. Finding each other saved them in countless ways. This story ends on a cliffhanger but I can pretty guarantee just based on what I've read from this author that the next book will absolutely be worth the wait.
“If I’m there, Elle, you *^*^*^* jump. I swear to *^*^*^* God I will swim for us both. No matter what.”
“Damaged souls are worth saving.” A direct quote from the author in her dedication and it resonated with me. This stayed with me throughout the entire book as being the epitome of this book. Of being so true in real life as well, but as I read this book felt so real the two intertwined. That is the brilliance of this writer.
Although there is plenty of angst in this book, and I mean angst that is totally justified and necessary, there are lighter moments with some fun banter between characters that has you with a big smile on your face. The trauma Elle goes through is absolutely horrific but the support and love she finds in Lynx, the Steel Stallions MC and other friends of the Stallions is so uplifting. Lynx goes through massive transformations that are completely understandable, he is without doubt a fabulous guy but his own worst enemy—that is until he meets Elle.
Lynx describes Elle as a ‘Life Warrior’ and that is the best description for her. I absolutely love her, she is such a wonderful character full of personality and appreciation for life. With everything she’s been through I am gobsmacked by how much her damaged soul rejoices time and time again. There certainly is a life lesson for everyone in just that alone. But this story is filled with real life lessons, superbly interwoven throughout the story. I am in awe of the wonderful talent this author possesses and graces us with in her books, thank you.
See Lynx and Elle from the beginning. It's a tragic tale but an amazing love story along the way.
If you can bare some heartbreaking moments then I say dive into this book. If you ever wondered about Elle and Lynx pasts this book will give you their tragic experiences as children until they find one another.
Yes this author gives you the horrors of human trafficking and what these individuals experience, but she also shows you how beautiful their souls are as they fight to find their hope, freedom, and love again. This is extremely emotional in the first half, but it does bring you some lighter moments mixed into the darker ones surrounding this couple.
I feel like you now have a better understanding of what both Elle and Lynx have been through and how special their love truly is. It's gut wrenching at times but it's beautifully written to give you chills as you read each chapter till the very last page.
I highly recommend this book if you love something that is tragically beautiful that will stay with you long after that last page. This author has the most amazing ability to take something so dark and heavy and transform it into a love story that mends your broken heart. So yes if you can brave the horrors and darkness to find the light at the end then grab this book and be ready for an emotional experience.
The first book in this series was intense and heartwrenching and action-packed. Book 2 did not disappoint. India knows how to bring out all the emotions. I really love that the goal throughout this series is to bring more attention to the world of sex trafficking.
The characters are intense, their backstories even more so. There were some major plot twists I was not expecting, especially at the end. If you enjoy MC stories with some dark TWs, I definitely recommend this series!
I am irrevocably in love with Elle and Lynx's love story. Two broken characters who fit together perfectly. This is a hauntingly beautiful read that you won't soon forget (like the rest of this authors works).
I always and forever know that I will love a book by India and I have yet to be disappointed and Lynx and Elle I don’t know where to start. Both have been dealt a life that no one should have but have tried to waver on until one moment changes things in a ray of hope that neither knows or feels can be real. Such a tragically beautiful story that made me aged more then a few tears
The story I needed, and it really had me in tears. I'm going to blame my hormones, but India always has a way of reaching into my body and touching my soul with her words and stories. I feel her emotion in every chapter she writes, and that makes the reading experience so much more genuine.
These two....gosh, they needed their story concluded. Two of the sweetest in this series, and they needed their love story complete. The way everyone within the club responds to their needs and their love, the softness we experience from the other brothers, and women within the story too. Just an amazing read as usual. I'm not surprised...but I also experienced a huge amount of resentment for the past of Elle. She deserved the world sooner, I'm just glad she has found someone to give it to her now.
This book takes a step back from the first one. It’s the story of Lynx and Elle. I’m not going to lie, I was confused at times. Like the first book, you have to read and really concentrate while doing so or you miss simple tells.
I honestly couldn’t get into this one. Most of the book was driving Elle back to Austin. I struggled with her character. She reverts between adult and child. I know it’s because of her upbringing and the trauma she went through. Which was awful. But I still couldn’t relate to her.
And I hate to say, but I struggled with Lynx and her as a couple. I just couldn’t get on board with how easily it was for someone who’s suffered years of abuse to be instantly in love with someone. Sure they had a connection, but she was in love so quickly. I found it a little unbelievable. It’s odd because in the first book, I loved these two and Elle does not come across anything like she does in this one.
And then there were mentions of an Irish MC and Tierney. Nothing given context at all so it seems out of place but why mention it? It has to be pivotal to the story.
And it ends with the capture of Justice (then Everleigh). But there doesn’t seem to be anymore books in this series so more to come?? I’ve gone into this series blind so I have no idea.
It wasn’t a bad read at all, I just didn’t feel it as much as Lacey and Tate. Nor did I enjoy it as much.

First thing I would like to say is that I applaud this author for putting at the very beginning that there are trigger warnings! I’ve read books in the past not knowing there were trigger warnings and didn’t not finish them because of it. With that being said if human trafficking and abuse is a trigger for you, this book is not for you. She also does beautiful job of ripping your heart out and wrecking it, but not leaving it like that for long because there is some comic relief to surely follow.
I fell in love with Elle and Lynx in Hostile Saint, but I love them even more after reading Hostile Fates. I’m a believer that everyone should experience this type of love. A love that is like a fierce hurricane but can anchor your soul all at the same time. This book a a beautiful depiction of family not needing to be blood and the lengths that you would go for the ones you love. I’m looking forward to more of this series and seeing what happens to the kidnapped MC royalty.

So if you have triggers please heed this authors warnings. Ok so this author blew my mind with this incredible story. I don't even know where to start. There are so many moving parts in this book that you don't know what's going to happen until it does. You are most definitely kept on the edge of your seat the whole entire book. I don't normally reread books but this one I might just have to it was that good. Lynx and Elle's story is so incredibly heart wrenching. After Elle endured being abused in her childhood and being trafficked she still survive's. When her life takes a turn she finally finds out what it's truly like to live. Lynx is most definitely her prince. But can Lynx and the club keep her safe or will the one that's coming for her bring them to their knees. I also have to say I absolutely freaking love Legend he is the bomb. And Dagger well there are no words, he is so dreamy and the best friend you could have. This author takes you on an all out roller coaster ride full of emotions, from heart wrenching, heartbreak, love lost and love found and you felt it all from anguish to love. Once again heed those warnings, this is a fantastic book and very well written and the author does not sugar coat what being trafficked and abused is like. I highly recommend this book it is one of my favorites of the year.
As with all of Ms Adam's books, it's hard to do the story justice and not give plots away. So vague it is! The first quarter of the book was SO intense! I had to keep stopping for a moment or two to take on board what I was reading. So well written that I felt I was there witnessing what actually happened. It's highly charged and exhausting and sets up the next part of the tale. The next section has it all! Romance, humour, sass, hot moments and loads of good action. A real pleasure to read. The final section of the book was so powerful that I felt like I'd run a race! So dramatic! Fast moving. I was praying the book would end, but dreading finishing it! THAT to me spells a great read, wanting to get to the finale but still wanting more! And as per usual, that's exactly where I am now...wanting more! Highly recommended but not for those of a delicate disposition.
I don't even know where to begin. This world, these bikers, their souls........I can't get enough. Hostile Fates deals with some pretty heavy, and dark themes, so definitely read those trigger warnings.
Lynx and Elle's story isn't an easy one, full of tragedy and pain which leads to growth, and healing. To say I loved these characters would be an understatement. The banter between Elle and the Stallions will have you laughing through you tears. The twists and turns, INTENSE!
An incredible story about two damaged souls, finding each other and healing each other. I cannot recommend this book and author enough.
