Repeat of an earlier story line. MacCallister is on the hunt for some baddies. He has agreed to scalp the white men to appease the Apache tribe. He also goes after, and scalps, some renegade Apaches.

Falcon MacCallister had just bought a silver mine from Doc Holiday and was on his way there by stagecoach. Traveling on the same coach was the beautiful daughter of an Indian chief named Keytano. A gang led by Fargo Ford robs the stagecoach takes the Chief's daughter and kills her. They kill the shotgun guard and leave Mac for dead. The story that follows is one of adventure that sees a sworn enemy of the Apache (MacCallister) befriend Keytano and do what needs to be done in order to stop a would-be Indian war.
As usual, I won't give any more away but will say this is another must-read, if you are into westerns.

Not a thrilling read but I still enjoyed the story. A bit of a twist in that the good guy doesn't actually kill all the bad guys. They for the most part kill each other. However......he does do something to them after they're dead. What does he do you ask? Well you'll just have to read it for yourself to find out.

Again, it’s 2020 and I’m just updating my Goodreads app. I have read this book and this entire series quite a few years ago. Always enjoyed it and recommend it. Could get a little too much at times but overall a great western series. Love the character of Falcon McAllister.

Another great Johnstone book.

Like all great western novels this was as true to time and place as is possible and still be a good adventure. Like L'Amour, the author has walked the streets of the remaining ghost towns, been among the mountains and on the plains.

The Eagles series gets back to a great western story. Sometimes tying in historic fact just doesn't work. Thankfully fiction does.
