The sticker-filled storybook Plants vs. Brains and the Beanstalk is a mash-up of the insanely addictive video game and a classic fairy tale. In Plants vs. Zombies , winner of more than 30 Best Game of the Year Awards, plants—including Sunflowers, Peashooters, Wall-nuts, and Cherry Bombs—defend humans against an array of brain-chomping zombies, such as the Pole-Vaulting Zombie and the Cone Zombie. Now in a thrilling picture book for kids, Jack—of Jack and the Beanstalk fame—enters the fantastical world of the game. He will battle the zombies with his magical beanstalk fighting by his side. The fun never dies in this action-filled adventure for kids with full-color illustrations.
My son loved this book. He also loves the game so this was a great way to get him reading for school. We are also going to compare it to the original story of Jack and the Beanstalk and discuss the differences. Jack is able to come through and save his mom and himself from the giant zombie when he goes up the beanstalk. Fun story especially if you like and play the game.
actually Jack and mother received a note from the zombies, the note is definitely from the zombies, then he went to the super market, with the least ugly lawn mower, on his way to the super market he saw an odd man with a pot on his head called crazy Dave, he was selling seeds from his car. Jack said no time for crazy! I like this book because it's about plant vs zombies!
Jack goes off to sell his best lawn mower to buy food, but instead trades it for a seed packet that turns into a pea-shooter stalk to the land of Gargatuar (after angry mom tosses the worthless seeds out the window of course). Zombie shenanigans ensue.
Adventures continue amongst the plants and the zombies as a bean stalk gets involved and follows the children and aliens for the adventure. The graphics are interesting in this book and the use of language is easy to follow. Recommended for upper elementary aged students.
