Katrina McLeod fled an arranged marriage, decreed by King James of Scotland, to a man with a fearful reputation, only to find herself on trial for her life! Accused of witchcraft, her salvation lies in the hands of brooding nobleman Duncan Rothmore….

When Duncan saves Katrina from a grisly fate in exchange for warming his bed, he has no idea she is really an untouched, high-born lady. He knows only that she stirs something in his wounded heart and afflicted body that no other woman ever has. But if he wishes to make Katrina his bride, Duncan must betray his king.

This book would have earned a solid 3-star rating from me, if not for the way the heroine put the hero's honor at risk.

No, Katrina, being sorry isn't good enough. That was very wrong of you and I can't forgive you.

I began reading and after having the hero encourage men to proceed with stripping the heroine and testing her to be a witch ... I'm not sure I want to read this anymore. What kind of hero wants other men to see his heroine naked?

Never have I been turned off of a book so quickly.

Oh how I hate leaving a book partially read. It's a fatal flaw in me. So I decided to finish and the book does not get better. There is NO appreciation for the fact that the heroine was a virgin. The guy is angry about everything. I found no romance. I'm beginning to think I got lost somewhere along the way and this isn't a romance.

Or maybe that this author just isn't for me and seeing as this was my first of her work i won't be revisiting.

This is a novella or something, I guess, because it seems rather short. Good read, but it's hard for me to read about a decrepit castle without thinking about the mold. Ick.

It was a short story so it felt a little rushed, I liked the hero not the herione according to me she was a bit selfish.
