This book is an excellent source of information for the art quilts that I have begun making. Her tile backgrounds are unique and allow for added depth and control of color areas. The design, perspective, selection of fabric, and process for dyeing your own fabrics sections provide good information. The technique for making a narrow border ensures even results. The section on designing trees also provided useful tips. Very exciting!

Public library book. Very unusual techniques & projects. Quite a lot on color theory. The "quilts" are all small: up to or including 24in x 36in. I think this might actually be most appropriately considered as a book for artists who are looking for new media. I enjoyed looking at this book and reading some sections, but it is not the kind of quilting I do, nor is it the type of activity I enjoy doing. Best part: "Faced edge" as a quilt finishing technique. Printed in China.
