it feels like it's filled with repeated information over and over. overall it's nice and i think after i did my CV i need to reread some parts just to make sure it's as great as they let me imagine my CV would.

I needed to update my CV, as I was told it was 'too passive' and didn't paint me as someone who achieves things. So, I decided to consult this book that I'd bought from a charity shop a year or so ago. Considering that this edition was published in 2008, I knew it was never going to be up to date when reading it in 2017; however it did contain a wealth of valuable information to help me update my CV.

Thanks to this book, my CV is now more impressive looking and easier to read (so I've been told). I've made sure to use positive language to emphasise my achievements, skills and knowledge. I think (and again, have been told by those who I've asked to read the new document) that it's made quite the drastic improvement.

Some of the information is dated, however a lot of it is still relevant to today's job market. Just take it with a pinch of salt.
