Such a cute and romantic love story. Loved every minute of it. A clean Christian read without the preaching.

First, the cover does not match the book at all. The story takes place in sunny San Diego, California. Not a place where you need to bundle up and get out of the snow. I’m not sure if this was supposed to be a holiday read or not, there is very little Christmas stuff in the story.

Anyway, I thought the story was cute. Shane realizes a fictional book had been written about him when his former sister-in-law claims he had an affair with the author. He wants to sue the author (even though in the fictional book he was portrayed as a good guy). I couldn’t figure out why Shane put up with his former sister-in-law, especially after all the obvious crap she pulled. I’m not sure of all the legalities, but I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have very much say in her niece and nephew’s lives. I also didn’t see why he was so worried about her accusations of having an affair while married to her sister (which he didn’t). I again don’t know, but I don’t think that would have a lot of weight in any custody cases. Especially since it happened way before the kids were even born. I guess it was just to get him mad enough to track down the author, Katelyn Palmer. Of course, there is instant chemistry between the two. Shane knows she is keeping secrets, and Katelyn is too scared to trust him with those secrets. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what the big deal was. She already knew he knew, maybe not all the nitty gritty details, but the book opens with her overhearing him talking to his layer. So she knows that he already knows all about the book being written about him. Owell, I also thought some of the dialog was a little cheesy, but that’s easy to overlook. So, overall I’d say I liked the book, but it didn’t blow me away.

Got it free on the kindle, and it's one of those books I wouldn't have read even if it was free. This book simply wasn't for me. I felt that the characters were really static, and there wasn't much development at all. I also wouldn't have read this book if I had known it was under the "religious fiction" category. This is also a clean romance book, and if you like reading religious or a little bit of romance books - this is probably for you. I felt that there wasn't really a climax, and if so, it was resolved extremely quickly. The huge lie turned out to be resolved really quickly as well. And I felt that the plot line was a bit weird, and I just don't understand how Shane didn't find Katelyn to be creepy at all (if this was in real life). She had a book that was clearly written about him, and she had known every detail about his life. And when they meet again, and Katelyn talks about his kids - that's definitely something you'd be wary about. But Shane just shrugs it off. There were similar things like this as well.

Just not for me, but I did manage to finish it.

While I found Katelyn to be a great character in the beginning, all the characters seemed a little flat to me. The plot was interesting enough but it sort of fell to the side as the secondary plot was much more interesting. I thought the ending was much too forced, too wrapped up in a neat bow for the end. The plot points and actions were okay, but not too exciting. It was a borderline read, I'm glad it was free via Kindle. I wouldn't pay for this book and probably won't remember it too much, but it was entertaining enough that I finished it. I didn't know that it was considered a Christian novel, but the use of God and faith was minimal and didn't come up too much until the end. It almost would have been better if there was more, or none.

Plain and Simple I LOVED IT! I wanted to swoon,....yes I actually used the word "swoon". I wanted to throttle someone at times, smack another one and laughed and wanted to scream. Yes all emotions this book pulled out of me, which tells me one thing she is an amazing writer. I'm lovin' these books and can't wait to get the next one. I'm waiting for a few to finish up series It's a good thing I just started with her books or I'd go NUTS WAITING!!!! It's ok it like my other fav author it's SOOOOOOO worth the wait! Totally recommended! I love the cleaness and the sweetness. Keep it up Marie!

Dreaming of You was a really easy read and held my attention. When I got to the last page, I had no idea it was the last page...that's a good book. I am not much on romance novels but this one was different. I would highly recommend if you have a couple days of relaxation and want mindless reading.

This was a good, clean, fun romance. I like the originality - though predictible - plot and the few surprises thrown in among the story. Katelyn and Shane's story may have been simple, but the author was able to throw in dialogue and romance that kept you wanting to read.

This is a Christian romance, but skirted on the edge of sensuality. There was a lot of kissing. I liked it, but some more consertaive readers may find it offensive since they got pretty passionate and - at times - there was a hint of wanting more. I don't think there was any inappropriate touches (though he did spank her on the butt once...). But if you like steamy kisses without the sex, this is the book for you!

Though I felt the religion was a bit forced at times, I think the author was genuine in wanting this to be a Christian book and for the two to grow together in a way God would bless.
