From the biting peaks of Lo’Darrow to the sandy shores of Hell, blood drenches the land. The Northern soldiers regroup with reinforcements after their defeat, ready for the long march ahead. The Southern realms prepare for war with no hope of triumph. And a call deep within Leterra quakes as Mount Ti’Marro spits plumes of molten fire and ash, threatening to blanket the globe in death.
The Battle of Hell is over but the misfortunes and struggle for Tom, Bravis, Keltin, and their friends continue. The group is ripped apart to face their own trials among strange and dangerous races. New allies are met and fresh blood is spilled from the necks of new foes. Tom faces the terrible challenge of killing to stay alive while risking his soul as sacrifice to the cursed armor. Will the group be able to face the devastating odds against them and come out to see each other once more, or will tragedy be their last memories? For when darkness devours, no one survives.
Born in 1988, John Hennessy grew up in Yakima, WA, graduated from Western Washington in 2011, and now lives in Portland, OR, with his wife, a chubby kitty, and two budgies who sing to him while he writes. His love for fantasy started at a young age with Warcraft II, and it quickly bloomed into much more as he was introduced to different writers like Garth Nix, Orson Scott Card, and Michael Crichton. When he’s not writing, he’s usually reading, biking, running, watching basketball, or some show on Netflix.
Finished reading this and was left wanting to read what happens next so that's a very good sign. Oh and I didn't get this free from the author, I actually bought this from Amazon.
Compared to the first book this sometimes felt like the pace of the story was off but if pushed I couldn't really say how. Probably a lot to do with me having A Game of Thrones in between and getting used to the longer character developments in there. Tom's character is the only one that seems to have had similar treatment and Bravis has got the light entertainment role with the help of a Noklathar Don Quixote...
Anyhow grab the first book and let's see what you all think
LOVED it! Cannot wait until the third one is out. Guessing it isn't because I scoured the amazon store trying to find it. lol The series is getting even better as it goes along. :D What will happen to Tom!?!
