2.75 Stars! Part 2 of Blind Date with the Billionaire starts where part one left off. Ms. Baxter is adept at reeling us into the life an love of her characters.
Summary:
Plus size beauty Monica Jordan is astounded that she is now girlfriend to the devastatingly handsome and wealthy, Gabe Stark. To have found such a wonderful man, a man who cherished her and reminds her of her beauty every day, online, is a miracle. Despite Gabe being close-mouthed about his past and recent ex-wife, his and Monica's relationship has grown quickly, finding them inseparable. With Monica's feelings for Gabe growing by leaps and bounds daily, she still wonders why he's with a woman like her, but also revels in the heady sensations and safety he provides her. When Gabe invites Monica to a swanky charity ball, she's nervous and suffering with her insecurities, but also determines to make Gabe proud. Unfortunately, Monica's fairytale comes to a screeching halt when the presence of Gabe's ex-wife is revealed at the ball. With nothing but catty, gossipy acquaintances and Gabe's neglect, Monica will have to choose whether to believe what she's heard or believe in the beauty that Gabe gives her. When the tense situation is furthered by finding Gabe in a compromising position, Monica will have to navigate through her lack of self-esteem and determine if she can truly fit into the rich world she's been thrust.
I loved this installment much more than part 1. I still disagree with the price for what we get, but the writing was engaging and had the substance I was looking for. I'm very much looking forward to the conclusion of Gabe and Monica's story. <3

I understand being insecure. We're all insecure about things. But to jump to conclusions like this, and not hearing the guy out? Yeah, kind of really dislike her right now. And in this story I'm actually siding with the guy.
Kind of annoying the story is divided into three parts. That's three incredibly short books that are very over-priced. I'm going to read the final part since I pay through my nose for these, but after this, that's it for me and this author.
