Zelina was on the date of her life until said date tried to kill her! Being saved by a blue-eyed wolf and waking up in his bed wasn’t what she expected. To find his brother on the other side wasn’t either. There was only so much a girl could take.
Tarquin and Centurion knew Zelina was their mate, and they weren’t taking no for an answer. Hundreds of years of waiting was enough. They just had to convince their very human mate of that fact. With everything they had they were going to show her she was theirs to claim.
Warning: This book contains two very hot shifters who have some ideas for their mate and a feisty woman who can take control when necessary!
Writing professionally since 2008, LeTeisha Newton’s love of romance novels began long before it should have. After spending years sneaking reads from her grandmother’s stash, she finally decided to pen her own tales. As many will do during their youth, she bounced from fantasy, urban literature, mainstream, interracial, paranormal, heterosexual, and LGBT works until she finally rested in contemporary romance.
LeTeisha is all about deep angst and angry heroes who take a bit more loving to smooth their rough edges. Love comes in many sizes, shapes, and colors, as well as with—or without—absolute beauty and fairy tale sweetness. She writes the darker tales because life is hard … but love is harder.
It has everything one needs for a quickie. Good story line, hot multiple partner scenes, shifters, a vampyre, and human. The story moves along quickly and holds interest. Just not enough of it. I will be trying a Newton book again. First impression is good.
This is a short read thus not a novella with fleshed out characters and yada yada so don't come looking for that. But if you want a HEA, sexy men, hot steamy sexy detailed lovin then go ahead. Is it a little fast paced and could it use another chapter or two yes IJS because you want to see the characters interact in more situations you want to get to know them more. This honestly seems like an introduction to them. Hint hint maybe the author will read this and give these characters a longer book but if not eh it's still good as is.
Wow, this it’s very refreshing. Didn’t know what expect at first but then everything came into the light. I love how at times words fail us, but the actions we put forth expresses everything. I love how time flys while Zelina was with Quin and Rion. I especially loved the fact that although, Quin is Alpha Rion is the one that takes charge and very protective of his brother. Most of all I love how Leteisha takes us into the next book so gracefully.
The premise is there but it was just lacking substance to make this a great read. I found the names for the alpha and beta to be hella confusing which threw me off during the 🔞 scenes- I had no clue which was which. Also, the description during those scenes made no sense to me at some points so I couldn't get into it. I must say that the ending with the bff was done perfectly because even though I'm finished with this book and I found it mid, I can't wait to read the next one.
I enjoyed reading this book, plot and characters were good. After being attacked by one species, then being rescued by not one but two other hot species what's a girl to do?
It's only pure smut which is really disappointing as the premise was great and the characters had good potential. I get people are into that but it's not my thing as there is no character growth or arc, no chemistry or connections only smut.
This is my review and how I see it. In Thiers to Claim, author LeTeisha Newton takes us on a fast-paced ride. The first story in the Claimed series of Zelina and brothers Quin and Rion. Zelina's bestie has set her up on a date with Brian. Unbeknownst to them, Brian is a vampire, and near the end of their date, Brian decides it's time for his snack in the form of Zelina.
As Zelina fought for her life she is rescued by Quin who has traveled some distance at the smell of her blood and recognizes her as his mate. Things get even more interesting for Zelina when she wakes up between to giant wolves.
This book is for anyone who likes short fast paced books, with a little menage-a-trois action thrown into the mix.
Overall: Not to sound like a broken record, but I wish that this book was longer. There was so much potential for a longer story and a better understanding of the characters and their relationships with one another. So the story starts with Zelina out on a date for a hottie named Brian. At first everything is going good until she goes to the bathroom. All hell breaks loose because she date suddenly attacks her and she goes on the run to get away from him. Just as she is about to die a big wolf with gorgeous blue eyes swoops in and saves her. After this point there is a lot of dirty sex and claiming. Her friend Jezzie comes to where she is because she is worried and doesn't know it, but meets her mate in the process. The next book should be a fun read.
Not really sure how I would feel if I woke up in Z's situatiin. Smile, cry, be festive...don't get me wrong I liked it, it just seems as though it shouldn't be a story more like a short novella.. I thought I was getting something good, but with chapters that are only like 3 pages long its an extremely quick read. I guess my main complaint is that it felt as though this could've been a really great full length book, but it feels like the author just didn't want to go into that much detail and it sucks because she really had something with this short tale.
This story was to short to have all of that stuff happened. I thought it was to fast past and I got whiplash. I wanted them to be happy but damn not in 3 seconds. It's like eating dessert and skipping dinner. I'm all for that however it always leaves you wanting more. I got whiplashed with zelina and then we were onto Jessie. I'm like dude what happened. I don't like that at all because it reminds me of a cliffhanger.
I came across this story is a box set and I am glad I did. I loved everything about this book except the length. I wish there was so much more to this story! If this author would rewrite this book make it a full length novel and release it again Id read it multiple times. Just to feel like there is more to the story I'm going to read this again. Thanks for the fantasy!
Loved this story. It's short, it's sweet, it's sexy and it makes sense which is all you can ever ask for from a novella, but better, it makes me want to read more from this author - very well done and thoroughly enjoyable. I actually want more of Rion and Quin as well, feeling like I'd barely had a chance to get to know them and their mate Zelina. Ooh, and that Socha!
I really enjoyed this book. It was exactly what I needed this sunday afternoon;-) The end was also very good because I went running to my laptop to see on Goodreads what book comes next! I really want to know what will happen with Jezzie.
Hot alpha males claiming their mate. What's not to love? I loved all of the characters in this book. I bought it and read it the same day and finished it not even in an hour. It was that good.
This story didn't totally capture me. I'm not sure why, maybe it was just my frame of mind at the time. I will definitely read the next book to see if I can be captured by Jezzie's story.
Way too short and really not much of a story. There was a story that could have been told but it was tossed aside for nothing but sex. Disappointing. I'm glad it was part of a box set.
