Very cute little story with elements drawn from traditional fairytales. Princess given a bunch of magical gifts at her christening and one curse from an evil magician. Curse eventually results in princess being locked up in castle alone where she discovers her magical gifts and uses them to defeat the firedrake menacing the town and break the curse (with a little help from some new friends). Ideal for kids from 8 up.

Many aspects of older fairy tales, all rolled up into one semi-satirical, ut not unenjoyable story.

Fun, light read. Pretty cute too. It would be great to read to children, I think.
