Incredibly puerile but I do love this particular sweet spot of late 80s/early 90s manga - cityscapes! big hair! posthumanism! chaotic layouts! incomprehensible plots!

What do you call this setting? It's not post apocalyptic. The apocalypse hasn't quite happened yet. It's not quite what I would consider cyberpunk... It's not dieselpunk... Is grungepunk a thing? If it is, that's probably what I would call this.

A grungepunk sci-fi set in a dirty, crumbling future where humans are almost extinct and the world has been inherited by monsters and furrys. Focusing on two privatized police officers... A short cat girl and a kitsune... who also wants to eat the cat girl... but happens to be her partner...

One part adorable, one part sexy, one part dark and gritty, one part humorous, one part action packed. I will say I loved the setting and the characters, but most of all I loved the harsh realistic tone of the overall story. I finally get to see the badass cop/bounty hunter heroes deal with the most frightening threat of all. Crippling debt.
