One of our son's bedtime favorite. Read almost nightly multiple times, he asks for it by name and quotes his favorite parts. Good for encouraging counting.
This is a mostly rhyming board book that helps a child learn how to count from one to ten, giving them opportunities to look for groups of things to count.

I loved this book because I feel like the kids in my classroom were really excited when we read it. The best part about the book was that it was really interactive and they had fun finding things and counting them to see if they matched the number we were looking for. When reading I was emphasizing whatever object we were counting a let them tell me what it was first if they wanted to shout it out. Also I feel like all of the settings are relatable at least for the kids in my classroom because of where we live. Also it’s cool that the kids will recognize cookie and the other people from sesame street because that makes them more excited to read the book.
