I wrote my first book when I was 8 years old. I glued photos of my cats in a blank book and wrote about them, too. Now I am an internationally-published children's author commended by the Library of Congress for my work encouraging children to read. I write in a room between a deli and an art gallery on a small town street. I can see families walking by, and I can hear children laughing and playing. It helps me to remember what exactly I'm doing this for - creating books for families all over the world to use together, and helping children to love words.
Cute and colorful book with glitter, just like how I like it to be :))) Polar bears are my favorite, too! The little polar bear gets bored of his white fur because he looks like his mommy and sister, so he finds ways to look colorful by getting sunlight to shine on his fur. However, at the end of the day, he realizes that looking like his loved ones is actually a great thing and not so boring at all :D So cute!!!!
If glitter is your one criteria for enjoying a picture book, this one’s got you covered in sparkles. If you wanted a memorable picture book with a fresh twist and a sense of wonder, then you might want to look elsewhere.
I don’t believe Kid Me would have cared much for this book either, but for the very young, this book may indeed entertain. The funny thing about tykes is that they don’t have the cynical perspective of a half-century-old man.
Little polar bear doesn't want to be white...too BORING! He tries out the colors of the sunrise, the ocean and the rainbow....but all those colors seem to disappear! In the end, guess what color he is happy with??
