I am a keen birdwatcher and this was the first 'birding book' I used - it's so good I still do! If I ever can't identify a bird I just flick through the book and look for the wonderful illustration of the bird. Not only dose it give you an illustration , it also gives you a description of the bird (both male and female), a map showing its habitat , song description and confusion species. Very good especially for beginner bird watchers.
This book was a great introduction to British birds. Easy reading and informative, great size and the colourful illustrations were wonderful. It is packed with all you need to know to start bird watching and identifying birds at a glance. My walking trips on coastal paths will be more interesting and richer from using this pocket size book.
