RIESIGE HASSBEWOHNER: EINE ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS UMGEKEHRTE HAREM-ROMANZE (RIESIG SERIES)

Rate this book

Cora's life gets turned upside down when her Mom tells her she is moving to Antiqua to live with none other than the Man who caused her family to be torn apart when she was younger. Even better this Man is going to be her stepfather because he is going to marry her mom. The only choice Cora has is to accept the offer to move into her soon to be stepfathers house with his Sons. She has never met them before and thinks he only has 1 or 2. Turns out he has 5, and yes they are all drop dead gorgeous. Cora moves into the house already hating the boys for what their father did to her family. Words are said upon her arrival that upset the boys and pranking begins. The boys prank Cora, Cora pranks them back. Then after 1 part things begin to change. Cora sees someone who brings back some bad feelings and has an anxiety attack. The boys Alden, Danny, Mark, Tobias and River help bring her back from that attack and feelings being to change. She starts getting to know the boys on a more personal level. They are all so different from one another but work amazing together as a group.

There is more drama, A bit of heartbreak, Some really sweet acts by the guys and finally the HEA that everyone was wanting. We also get to see some characters from previous books which I always love.

This book was a quick and great read!!

Ok, so my initial thoughts when I first started reading this book was “Dang Cora you didn’t have to be so rude.” All she had to was very nice when they first met, but then there wouldn’t have been a story!

At first I wasn’t sure about the whole pranking thing, but it turns out I found them to be pretty hilarious. The guys reactions had me cracking up.

There were a couple of things the guys did in the beginning that I wasn’t a huge fan of, but like I said it was in the beginning so it is what it is.

I think Tobias and Mark were my favorite!

There were a few things that I wish I got a deeper look at, but other than that it was a funny and quick read!

This book was an amazing read! Cora’s mother is moving to Antigua with her fiancé leaving Cora without a place to live. Cora has a chip on her shoulder for her mom’s fiancé and his 5 sons, but when he offers to let her move into Casa Carlton, it’s her only choice. Cora meets her new roommates and is immediately stunned by their gorgeousness. Remembering her chip, she starts off bitchy before they can even open their mouths. This starts house wars with pranks and personal space violations galore. At one of the guy’s huge house parties Cora ventures downstairs for sone pizza when she sees someone she never wanted to see again. Immediately in alert, 2 of the guys notice her discomfort and upset and whisk her away. Of course the other three brothers follow. This is the turning point in their relationship, where the boys decide that a truce is in order and they will protect Cora. It’s a funny, sad, sexy, sweet and steamy all wrapped in Stephanie Brother greatness!

OMG this book gave me all the feels! I loved it. Cora may have doubted herself but to me she handled those boys! they were all her opposites in their own way but she was the glue they needed! All the guys having deeper emotions is something else that kept me reading it wasn't just feelings from her perspective but to see theirs from them individually and as a whole unit is something i haven't found a lot in books lately. I'm not one to choose because i adored all of them but Tobias got me! Stephanie this book is one of my favorites! I could not put it down! and again i liked the fact that they weren't looking to share at first and that the chemistry and tension build up to that point! and you already know how spicy her books can get!! please read!!!! I hope y'all enjoyed it as much as i did!

That was one wild roller coaster ride! This story is so good that I could not put it down - started and completed in just a few hours!

The Carlton brothers prank hard and love hard and Cora could give as good as she got! Even though Tobias is the youngest (I'm guessing 21) I couldn't help but be attracted to him the most from the beginning. But each brother brought something unique and endearing to the story and relationship. In Cora's shoes, I'd fall in love with them, too. 😍

The main characters:
Cora - an artist who specializes in pottery, she is embittered and has very little trust for men, especially the Carltons
Alden - the eldest is a sculptor and big bro. He tends to be reserved
Mark - 2nd born he is a sexy accountant (not that he does anything sexy to numbers, he just is 😁) and a neat freak
Danny - a model and the resident hothead/prankster
River - a college senior and a football player. He tends to be dominant but nobody minds
Tobias (Tobe) - a college junior and football player. He is sensitive, caring, and intuitive

I also especially loved the appearance of characters from the other stories like Maggie and some of her men from Team Players, Damian from Deep 6, and Mason from Big 3. Keep doing these crossovers, Stephanie! They're fun! 😁

I have been waiting for this book to be released for a while and I have to say that it did not disappoint!! Stephanie Brother really knows how to write a great story full of heat and lots of gorgeous men who love their woman. What starts as a hate filled reaction to five brothers, because they happened to be Cora’s enemy’s sons, soon turns into the hottest romance of her life once she let Aldon, Mark, Danny, River and Tobias into her heart. But their relationship doesn’t flow easily, there are some bumps along the way, then they have their happily ever after.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.

I didn’t come into this high hopes. Wasn’t really disappointed.

Deep sigh.
Five men. One woman. One book ?
Really ?
Ok. Ok. It never touches the clear INSANITY of one woman with ten men. Seriously? Ten ?
That’s just nuts!
But this B needs therapy,NOT lots and lots of sex.
She comes into this a big ole bitter Betty, covered in anger and resentment like her crazy bright colors and leaves the same way, with zero character growth.
She comes into the story placing blame on any inequalities in her life on other ppl. I know she’s a bit young ,not too long out of collage ? But she’s old enough to where she could be old enough to be self aware enough to be willing to take responsibility for her own life and her choices . Yes,yes, her mom sounds like a selfish idiot . Hooking up with the man who happily destroyed your husband ? What is this ?
Dynasty ? An episode of “The fake housewives of blah blah”? I mean come on. The guy was a d bag and a half.
But the way it started wasn’t fun. Childish ,dumb, boring, dickish pranks . Please.
And while it’s NOT cheating for any of the MC’s to have sex with others before a relationship has begun,I don’t want to see it . Eeeeeeeeee! Especially when two of her future guys in her bed with OW.
Nasty and completely tasteless.
And nothing is really worked out when they go from their stupid childish behavior to let’s be friends ,to let’s be more than that. It’s from we’re sorry,to let’s be friends ( kinda, sorta) ( they all want to F her badly)to “Hey, come meet my friend “married” to a whole team of men.” Then,”Hey, we should try that too.” She freaks . They calm her. Their dating.
Voilà.
Then Evil B comes along, barely in the story, stirs up a mess of trouble and our never reformed ,still very much needing therapy, bitter Betty runs off after jumping to TONS of conclusions!
Guys apologize for stuff they haven’t really done ,they’re all more victims than she is ,since she’s again jumping to conclusions about them (just like how she did at the very beginning of the book) and she comes back. She comes back as guys are facing off with soon to be step parents ,so OF COURSE ,NOTHING,i repeat N O T H I N G ,is worked out, fixed or even remotely resolved. We don’t find out who really caused all the trouble . Nor does our bitter B ever have to apologize foe her deeply immature behavior. This is definitely a HFN,this is too stupid and immature to hang with them long term w/out the therapy they all desperately need!
Five men NEED a series! Not one book! But I dared to dream 💭. Silly me. If character growth and plot aren’t as important as lots of silly sex, then this is for you ! Otherwise manage your expectations or stay away.

I typically love Stephanie Brother's RH books especially because she is great at bringing back characters from previous books of hers. (FYI, she brings back Maggie and her men and it was great to see her new family.)

What I really disliked about this story was the graphic threesome on Cora's bed that wasn't with her. Yes, The boys "hated" her and wanted to get back at her for basically saying she wanted them to stay out of their way and vice versa. Definitely something that did not deserve that kind of response to her speech. I mean, when the two guys describe the other girl's pussy....that's where I draw the line. I don't want to hear about another girl who is not the heroine.

Other than this, it was a cute story once everyone got over themselves.

TW: Cora runs into a guy who assaulted her in the past at a party the boys throw in their house.

OK look I don’t mind the whole stepbrother stepsister‘s thing
if I can wrap my head around it
and this will make sense — later in life type of situation. And Rh is already hard enough :contemporary wise : for me to be like
“oh yeah this will work out”
whereas if it’s PNR
then it just works —because it’s already a fantastical world and so you can just have it work
or if it’s a mafia situation because again it’s kind of a fantastical world — type of deal
right
however this is supposed to just be regular peeps :: plain old world :: contemporary RH
And I’m supposed to just be like oh yeah I guess the mom and dad will just have to deal with all of their children also having sex and being together? Like I don’t….. I can’t get into it …… I don’t know
it just wasn’t for me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Huge House Hates is an enemies to lovers romance with a stepbrother twist.
If you like forced proximity situations this could be the one for you.

It features...
<3 a heroine who's not prepared to lose at roommate wars
<3 five sexy stepbrothers who prove that hate can flip to love
<3 roommate antics
<3 smoking hot reverse harem scenes

I hope you'll enjoy Cora's story. In addition, Maggie from Team Players is back, and Damien from Deep 6 makes an appearance too!

Didn't connect to the characters this time

This is the first book by Stephanie Brother where the intimacy felt forced. The transition from stereotypical men that use women (for Danny and River) wasn't believable even for this genre. I gave two stars bc you get the bare bones of what you expect. I'm glad I read thru KU instead of purchasing.

This was a quick and fun read.
I rated it 3 stars because some of the parts were just so unbelievable & I know that men written by women are superior, but they were almost too perfect.

It's exactly what it sounds like, no more no less. One chick, 5 dudes. It's not very believable or interesting, but it's the smut that some of you might be looking for.

Cora is a struggling artist and she's angry that she has to move in with her soon-to-be stepbrothers (5 of them) because her mom is marrying the guy that Cora thinks ruined their lives (the soon-to-be stepdad stole her dad's company 10 years ago ( or bought it in a shady way or something, idk)). Cora's dad took off back then, and so now she's got daddy issues. Her mom marrying this guy just pisses her off and then she tells off the sons when she first meets them, bc she just wants them to leave her alone. They don't like her attitude though so it sets off a little prank war between all of them. The parents aren't around-- they're traveling and whatnot. And Cora and the guys are all over 18 so it's not like they need supervision. But i think it is weird that the 5 brothers all still live together. The youngest 2 are in college and playing football or something; then there's a model, an accountant, and an artist. They don't like having Cora in their space at first because she was so rude to them but they change their minds when they find out a friend of theirs got all grabby with her without her permission. They kick the guy out, and apologize, and then it seems like they all agree pretty quickly to jump into a relationship with her. They get right into some porny DP shit and it's pretty graphic. They all want to stay together but then their parents find out about their relationship and try to break them up, so Cora has a freakout moment but then she comes back and says let's do this. They all get their own place together with one giant bed, and that's all she wrote, folks.

An enemies/bully to lovers reverse harem romance

An enjoyable read although not one of my favourites.

There is a lot of built up tension in the beginning of this book that all eventually comes to a head and draws a halt to all the pranks. From then on the sexual tension builds. And boy does it build.

Be prepared for some really steamy scenes, I mean melt your kindle, make your cheeks burn scenes. Some of my favourites though, two for one DP.

But like all of this authors books, Stephanie has an underlying story too. It’s just not about forming a harem and group sex, this book is about getting past previous hurts, learning to trust again, standing up for yourselves and what you believe in and standing by those you love, no matter the obstacles. Knowing that as a group you are stronger than when on your own. And that money isn’t everything.

I really enjoyed being able to catch up with previous characters from the Huge series. Maggie and her 11 blokes and her little boy Dale. Maggie and Cora’s friendship we read about in Maggie’s story but their friendship is still going strong and has an important part to play in this story too.

More along the lines of a bully romance, that has many a prank to get the sexual tension high. But there are also some pranks that are more bully and cruel than just plain fun, which I’m not a fan off.

EDIT: I stand by what I said below. Just I wanted to add a few things.

I decided to read this one over again. The first time I was blown away by the story, the characters and how everything played out. After the second time reading it, even if I know what was about to happen, I still loved it. I got the same feelings from the first reading in the second one. The guys cared about Cora, pranks aside. It was like the guys were trying to pull her pigtails like they were all in grade school. Their dad and her mom were terrible people for the whole book and, if there were related to me in anyway, I would have disowned them. I understood why Cora rolled into the house hating everyone. Each prank Cora pulled on them were harmless, even if they were inconvenient. Some of the pranks Danny did were horrible.

There were some chapters I had to read a few times and there were others where I needed a day to recover from. Some of the chapters overlap.

Overall, this was a fantastic book, a great read and I can't stop talking about it!

Original review:
I got an advance copy of this, and usually whenever I get an advance copy I can never find time to read it. Well I devoured this book in one night. Normally whenever I get a book I have to put time aside to read, duct tape the the husband the cats anything else that may be bothering me. But, this book wow! I'm always fascinated by enemy to lover type books. This book had everything that I could ever want. As I've seen in some other reviews yes it's a roller coaster ride yes those guys are just regular old brothers with the way that they act, but there's love there.

Falling For Her Enemies

Cora has already lost her mom to the man who destroyed her dads business. Her mom marrying him is just the icing on her cake though. With no where else to go when her mom & Randolph move away, she is forced to move in with her mortal enemies, his five sons. The Carlton boys Alden, Mark, Danny, River & Tobias are living the life & now, their future step sister is moving in. Cora decides to set the tone, telling them to leave her alone & pretend she isn't there. What insues after are some pretty terrible & laugh out loud practical jokes & loud parties. When push comes to shove, the boy on the playground pulling pigtails has a crush on the girl, just saying! When she walks into the kitchen with practically nothing on, she gets their attention for sure. This story was hot fire, erotic & totally taboo. These boys are super sexy & know exactly what Cora needs at all times! This was the final book in the Huge Series, & I'm kinda sad to see it end! It was nice to read each story & usually get to see what past harems are up to now. Enjoy!

I enjoyed this book a lot. It's a bit different that the other book I've read from Stephanie Brother, but it's still great.
I like that this book has a enemies to lovers trope so it's not all happy everything from the start. It gives the book a really nice edge in my opinion.
I'm not too happy with the pranks they play on each other but I understand the idea behind it.
The characters are all interesting and I liked the slow relationship between the step siblings. It gives some more context to the book.
All in all, it was a great read and Stephanie Brother has become one of my go to authors.

Oh boy. What a bad start to 2023 reading this one.

Straight to the point, the beginning plot is fun. Although the pranks were a bit childish, seeing how each one of the brothers reacted really shone their personalities.

Cora is okay.

The only brother that got me attracted was ... well... aa...

Never mind.

Again, the plot was okay to me until when they acknowledged their feelings for Cora. At the exact moment. And they all bang her at the same time.

After that, the plot was a bit dull even with the conflicts. I don't think Cora is strongly attached to anyone among the siblings 😅

I thought Tobias's friends going to stir trouble since they were first introduced, but it was this Cathy - The girl who popped up out of nowhere and disappeared just like she appeared.

Cora is forced to live in a house with her five soon-to-be stepbrothers. She has nowhere else to go after her mother left to go away with her boyfriend – the man who destroyed her father's business. Things certainly don't start out well with the five men. Cora states that she wants to be left alone and then the pranks begin. Dirty pranks. Revenge. More revenge. Then things change drastically. A guest at one of their parties causes all of the brothers to go into protective mode with Cora when she tells them where she met their friend. Can they all be together or will the parents step in? Such a great story.

Huge House Hates is another incredible book by Stephanie Brother. When Cora has no choice but to move in with her soon to be stepbrothers who father destroyed her life when she was young. Their first meeting starts a prank war from hell until one faithful night turns into nightmare for Cora that turns everything around.
Danny, Alden, Mark, River, and Tobias will be there for Cora no matter what happens now that they have falling for her. And she falls for them. Their journey has ups and downs. It will make you laugh at time and mad at other times. But the scenes are incredible. But through everything they will get their HEA.

This author is one I can always count on for a fun, quick read with lots of spice and lots of men in the harem. I think 5 in the perfect number, and in this case absolutely perfect for Cora.

I liked that Cora was not an innocent character, that her actions were the impetus for the conflict early in the book. Danny certainly took it and ran with it.

I loved each of the brothers was unique, Mark and Alden being my favorites. The group scenes were very steamy.

I always like seeing characters from previous books in her series and it was great to see Maggie and her men again. I really want to see Cathy get her comeuppance though.

Stephanie Brother has brought enemies to lovers to a whole new level; there was so much vicious animosity between Cora and the Carlton brothers! It was a bit distressing to read so much hatred for over a third of the book, but then, something happens that brings everyone together. Sweet relief! But the story's not over. Several somebodys throw obstacles at their relationship but the Carltons' grand gesture is a good one. My favorite part is at the end when River pounces and peppers Cora with kisses, and my favorite quote is from Tobias: "Cora needs us. She needs us to be good men in a sea of (expletive)." I reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

This book follows Cora, whose mother decides to get re-married and move to another country. Without money to pay rent on her own, and no friends available to move in with Cora has no choice but to accept the offer to move in with her new step-brothers. However, Cora is not happy about this arrangement because she feels that her mother's new fiancé and his sons are the reason her life was turned upside down as a child. Needless to say, Cora is not happy about her new living arrangements, especially seeing how hot her new roommates are. Pranks and bickering ensue. Until something happens that changes how everyone sees each other and their relationships start to change.

If you love harems, enemies to lovers, and all the greatness than this is a MUST have for your collection.

Such a good read i absolutely loved the pranks that were pulled but if it was me id only steal one shoe from each pair of shoes so they had to go with miss matched shoes. Lol.
I don't know how she does it but Stephanie is amazing at making you feel for her characters. Normally an author makes you have feelings for one character but not this book. You feel for all the main characters. My favorite brother was Tobias I wish there was a little more about why he was able to connect with Cora so fast. But was another great book from Stephanie brother.

Another home run of a story from Stephanie Brother! Cora is such a relatable character! As a female I think we all have dealt with insecurities & self doubt like she has, it's hard to open up after being closed up for so long. I loved Cora and how strong of a woman she is. This was a great read that had me up into the late late night reading so I could finish it! The men are swoonworthy and each unique in the ways they handle Cora. If strong women who don't have to choose which partner to be with is your jam, then definitely read this now! You won't be disappointed.

Bring it on…

When Cora’s mom becomes engaged to Randolph the very man she blames for the destruction of her dads business. Cora is hurt and angry because her mom wants to sell the house she grew up in leaving Cora homeless or having to move in with her 5 soon to be stepbrothers.
First night she draws a line in the sand and boy do the hijinks begin.
This book will have you laughing, gasping and overheating from all the angst, drama, pranks and steam!
This group must face some backlash from their parents but they’re determined to not give up on each other.

Hate/ love

I am glad Cora was able to dish out, back to the guys,as good as they gave. I had to chuckle on her pranks to the guys, loved it. It took strength for Cora, to realize the 5 guys, were nothing like their father.Cora deserved the love of all the guys. As a struggling sculptor, she stayed true to her passion. In beginning, wasn't fond of Cora' s mom, and definitely not Mr Randolph. Was glad parents stayed out of Cora and her men's way. I hope there is a followup, with this group.. Loved Stephanie' s books, can't wait til the next one.

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of this book, so thank you Stephanie!

Huge House Hates is an enemies to lovers romance that hit all the right spots. I loved the creative pranks in the beginnings. I got some funny looks from other people because I had to laugh so many times. Cora was a great heroine and the boys were swoon worthy.

If you love reverse harem this is the book for you. But in all honesty you can never do wrong with a book from Stephanie Brother.
