Truly harrowing experience. First book in ages that I simply couldnt put down.
The film was alot more reflective and introspective but this made the book feel more raw. The book feels like a diary from Joe and Simon as the events are happening. It was gripping.
Climbing experience/knowledge helped to follow. Author should hVe done a glossary for non-climbers.
Some choices, some decisions, and some actions. Each chosen ways decided that how to go in the crossroads of their lives and deaths. I was very interested in their decisions, so I couldn't stop reading this book. I felt as if I were reading it in my native language. In addition, this book reminded me of my some explored experiences in the mountains.
I have watched the DVD but I found it difficult to read sometimes. I couldn't follow what was happening exactly. I, however, felt that it was very severe to climb mountains.
