This was a wonderful read. It isn't something you can read very quickly as its short stories and its filled with motivation, inspiring stories of love, perseverance, lives that are changed by accidents and how God comes and restores their lives and makes things right according to his will and glory. Its a heart warming book about challenges, obsticles, tragidies but also how God's love and how being positive and the right mindset also can help us be the best people we can be. I loved these stories in school and although I'm more for thrillers, detective, and romance, these short stories put together by the author was really beautiful. I'll definitely read more of these books over time. I definitely recommend this to people who want to be touched and for those who love seeing how people's lives can change through God and miraculous circumstances and also how powerful love is.
Full of so many inspiring stories, that make you realise how lucky you are to have the body you have, even if it is a few pounds heavier than you'd like.
I have recently recovered from a brain injury incurred 18 months ago, and the experience has made me really appreciate my generally good health, I no longer take it for granted.
Many of the stories were so relevant to me, that I was on the verge of tears many times, which was a little embarrassing, since I listened to the audio book while I was power walking in the mornings.
Listened for second time and enjoyed the book again.
It did inspire me at first, when the beginning of the book is about people who overcame diseases and obesity and also did something admirable such as running marathon, etc. But the more I read, the more I feel this book is just telling cliche stories- for example: telling story about the attitude of a grandmother toward life with no specific or very little action to prove it, therefore I stopped after hit page 200.
Typical of the Chicken Soup series, with bite-size stories that motivate and warm. Well worth a read, and a return read, if you enjoy feel good stories with a focus on living your life with health and happiness.
