This book was very hard for me to rate. While the author shared some great thoughts about finding our security in God, I found her writing to be rather disjointed. Perhaps this isn't surprising, given that it consists of excerpts from her best selling book, So long, insecurity

I had never read anything by Beth Moore, but I hear people talk about her all the time so I finally picked up a booklet she wrote called The Promise of Security. It’s almost like a devotional with brief little readings and the readings are grouped into areas that typically make women feel insecure.

It was a quick, easy, and enjoyable read. It gave me a first glimpse into her humor and level of self-disclosure. She writes with compassion as one having “been there” but she presses the reader to move forward rather than stay there.

The Promise of Security was a nice little booklet, with a discussion of the security of salvation at the end, making it a nice gift for someone who might be seeking something bigger in life than her own insecurities. It would make a conversation starter, at least.

I give Beth Moore’s The Promise of Security four cups of love (Minus one for seeming a bit disconnected at times).

This little booklet was given to me in a small gift bag at Christmas, and was by far my favorite item! So impacting it has made me want to read the book "So Long Insecurity, you've been a bad friend to us." Beth brings out how we can live lives of security & dignity, minus selfishness & pride. God loves us so much and this little book is a great reminder of how special we are to Him.

Short, to the point, and drenched in wisdom, insight, and inspiration. It was what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. This quick read fed my spirit and inspired me to keep leaning and depending on the Lover of my Soul. Loved it and love Beth Moore!!

Short but to the point

I wasn't expecting this book to be so short. However, it was engaging and kept my attention throughout. There were a couple of pointers I'd like to highlight as well as some scriptures I'd like to highlight. The overall message is that God is greater than any of our insecurities. It only in Him than we can be secure.

I got this little booklet in my stocking for Christmas. And it was absolutely just what I needed. Beth writes with such passion and its astounding, how in just a tiny paragraph or even sentence I am so taken with who Christ is. I definitely recommend for young women.

BETH TELLS IT LIKE IT IS

I really enjoyed this book. Short, yes, but not overly wordy. SHe backs everything up with scripture so we're not seeing through a glass darkly. I'm sure I'll read this book several times--like God's love it's very comforting. Thank you BETH!!!

Short but sweet

Good short read for someone to remind themselves of who they are in Christ, or for someone who doesn't know whose they were created to be.

A helpful read.

This book is helpful. It is supported with scripture. If you feel interested in reading about security, this is a good book to read. Beth Moore writes a lot of good and helpful books. I recommend this book to anyone who needs to read about this subject and wants to have a close relationship with our Lord.

This was my first Beth Moore book. She gave an abundance of scriptures to go with her topics, but there wasn't anything thought provoking or deep . Most of the scriptures I've heard before. It would have been nice for the author to show more practical application.

A nothing read . . . too short

I expected this to be longer. It was really a nothing read. I hope it was a free one! I typically like Beth Moore but this one, not so much.
