Welcome to a world with two Kingdoms, Bron and Tarn, a straightforward mistake away from blowing things up and peace being a distant one. Her world-building was exceptional, immersing me in the unfolding events. The chemistry between our two main characters is sometimes comical, but Taviny is a feisty wild child, and Roxston likes figuring out his reply to her quick-witted banter. The two kingdoms are vastly different in how they interact and handle their emotions and magic. Are you in for a treat
if you enjoy enemies-to-lovers plotlines, unexpected twists, intrigue, strong female characters, and a supportive dragon, this book might be just what you're looking for.

I love Taviny & Roxston! My heart !!!!
This book has magic, war, dragons, unicorns, dogs, Princesses, Kings & Queens!
The character I disliked the most would be a tie between King Theodric & Cage.

I love how Taviny calls Roxston Lord Figuter & he calls her Wild Child.
I love that they get one another to open up & feel safe, and not only that they teach each other things.

I love the beginning with the 6 men being rude to her, and how she punished them! I laughed cause I enjoyed it! I love the ending, but I’m hoping this is going to be a series, because it kind of ends on a “cliffhanger” (not technically but the way it ends I’d expect a second book to happen but if it’s just the one it’s a pretty great ending).

I love Url and Sunshine, I love how she breaks down his walls & he becomes so soft.
Daniel & Bevyn as well as Bhaltair ! 🫶🏻

I truly enjoyed everything this book had to offer, it had me kicking & screaming, gasping, laughing and even crying at some points! When something happened I felt like i was a part of it & I felt every emotion possible with this book.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read this as an ARC (sent as a pdf!) 🥰

When everything you've ever known is being threatened, how far would you go to save it all? For Princess Taviny of Bron, there is no simple answer. Seeking peace with neighboring Tarn means opening herself up to unexpected truths. Everything she'd ever believed in becomes a lie. The only constant in all of it is Lord Roxston.

Blood of Dragons was a rollercoaster of a read from the very first page. Princess Taviny herself is a bit of a rollercoaster, actually. Quick to anger, defiant, and a little bit closed off. As a reader her mood swings even sent ME reeling as though I were the one being bitten by her sharp tongue. Happiness never lasted very long before the next twist came to knock me back down in a fit of frustrated grumbles. The ending, much like Taviny's revenge for her father's death, kicked the proverbial knife deep into my soul, ripping it to pieces for the young princess-turned-queen. Her happily ever after will have to wait. War is coming. Yes, I daresay the story sucked me straight in and refused to let me go. And I loved every second of it.

In the first book of the Taviny's Blood series, Irene Daniels splendidly evoked a series of emotions that bombarded me in quick succession, and I'm so happy to give her story five stars. I can't wait to see what's next. What can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment.

“I have missed you, wild one.”

Blood of Dragons is a high fantasy with simple/easy to understand world-building, an interesting magic system, and bonds with dragons and unicorns. The author’s storytelling is captivating, balancing emotions, adventure, heart and curiosity within a wonderfully sculpted and realistic world. This high fantasy romance is filled with deception, intrigue, and plot twists to keep you on your toes. One of the things that I truly love about this story is the character growth not only with the MCs but with the side characters as well.

The FMC, Princess Taviny, was a delight to read. She is a strong female character with a heart of gold. The MMC, Roxston, is a perfect example of a morally grey MMC. He is so much more than meets the eye and I love learning more about him. There is so much more to find out, and I cannot wait for it. 🤍 I absolutely adored his nickname for her…. wild one.

If you’re looking to discover something new, something original, and something memorable, then this is the series you’re looking for!

This was a delightful debut novel, a good introduction to a new high fantasy series and I'm excited to see what will happen next. 🤍 I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from Irene Daniels soon.

Hands down 5/5 stars I can’t find anything I dislike. Well besides one of the kings he’s a sob for sure. LOL. First of all… I want to say I read this in 1 day. The suspense in this book is life changing. Like you cannot tell what’s going to happen. You can guess but you would probably be wrong. LOL The FMC is a red headed strong willed Princess. Her culture they push away strong feelings and she struggles and is completely full of them. The bonded aspect and communication with her bonded animals is so good. Taught to try not to love but that’s all she does. The MMC trauma struggle alpha male. The side character Sunshine she’s my absolute favorite I LOVE her! This book is so good! I cannot wait to start the next one! It’s a slow burn so get on top of your dragon a soar on an epic adventure. -Kerin

It follows Princess Taviny of Bron, who is sent on a mission to ease tensions between two kingdoms, Bron and Tarn. Alongside her counterpart, Roxston, she must navigate a world on the brink of war and uncover her true potential to save countless lives. The story revolves around tensions between kingdoms, highlighting themes of political maneuvering, alliances, and betrayal. Taviny's journey is external and internal, as she discovers her strengths and role in the larger scheme of things. With dragons and war as central elements, the theme of overcoming differences to achieve peace is likely prominent. Taviny and Roxston face significant challenges, showcasing their bravery and the costs of their actions.

First let me just say I want to have the magical ability to chant and turn other people into a frog like Princess Taviny!

This is an action packed magical fantasy story. The author does a great job of kingdom and historical building and creating a vivid picture of the world we are entering through incredible storytelling. When I am able to actually visualize myself in the environment, the author has worked their own magic. I did not find myself overwhelmed with the events taking place through this story and was able to understand the situations. There is unique magic, dragons, unicorns, enemies to lovers, betrayal and chaos through out the story. The twists and turns in the story definitely had my jaw dropped , surprised, shaking my head and captivated.

Omgn…The cliff hanger at the end leading to the 2nd Book…Blood of Elves!!

2 Warring kingdoms, one is trying to covet women, land, mythical creatures & magic

I have to say Taviny is a strong FMC, and the lore and whimsy this book creates is interesting and enchanting. I feel so bad for Taviny she just doesn’t get the other culture at all and it shows, cause she doesn’t listen. And then of course taviny has to deal with mean girls.

So I wasn't so sure about some of the side and main characters but I'm glad in the end for some I was proven wrong and for others I wish for not great things to happen to them. Alright there were definitely some twists I didn’t see coming, damn. The cliff hanger at the end will have you thankful the second book is already out cause my gods.

Key points in no particular order:
– unicorns
– magic
– dragons
– Multi POV
– differing kingdoms
– manipulation

Well written fantasy novel with a strong female main character! Spice level is minimal and works with the storyline. Secondary characters are quite interesting too.

We have a two worlds on the verge of war and Tavigny comes to visit the opposition and meets Roxston. Even though she is mesmerized by him, she never loses her focus, or herself for that matter.

Can the two worlds live in harmony? Will the 2 main characters live happily ever after? Hopefully, Irene will give us book 2!!!!!

It’s Written very well and keeps you interested all the way through. You watch not just Taviny but everyone else grow and learn together. The book uses visions and “telling the future” while still managing not to spoil those same outcomes. This world is so much fun and puts a great spin on some old stories/fantasies to create its own unique world.

A wonderful story of two worlds meeting, the magical people of Bron and the humans of Tarn. The magic system is really unique and makes for a lot of interesting twists within the story, and the fast moving plot keeps you hooked. The characters all are incredible well developed, even allowing the smaller side characters to have their own arcs that add to the story, and a few romance subplots helps add to the whimsical feel of the book. Will be diving into book 2 straight away!

Good

This is a good book but it didn't draw me in a it has for others. There were terms thrown in that were never defined, in random places, and a sudden dialect, like Scottish, from a castle servant that just didn't fit the story. It threw me off. The book has a lot of surprising twists and revealing of secrets.
