I would have liked this better if it didn’t have the religiosity, but it is a Christian publisher. I miss the original Berenstain Bears.

Much in the flavor of The Berenstain Bears Visit the Dentist, this one is an I Can Read! Christian inspirational Living Lights series early reader where the cubs and Papa Bear all head out for an annual physical including their booster shots. It's perfectly appropriate for a young child to read and learn about being healthy and staying that way. And there is a bit of humor with a gentle poke at Papa Bear to watch his desserts and weight. From the cub siblings trying to find reasons to not go to the doctor to Papa enjoy his dessert carrot sticks it's a family fun one that provides inspiration for a springboard of conversation on other ways to be healthy all in a Level 1 early reader format!
