It was the ending for me in this book in the series. Fiona finally being able to catch the person who took her sister. I guess I need to read the next one to find out exactly what happened.
Well Blake, I would have given this book 3 stars like I had the others because I enjoyed the story, but the lack of proofreading…come on! Do you even map out these stories?
Page 167 you threw in a sentence that didn’t make any sense but would have been a big thing (no spoilers here) and then you just keep going on as if nothing happened. Read your books cover-to-cover before you publish or let me proofread!
The main characters are enjoyable but each storyline seems to involve someone on a killing rampage over another person killing a bug. I expected the use of insects in the solving of crimes. Like how long someone had beefed dead or where they were killed. A bit boring.
3.5 ⭐️ I wanted to like this one a lot, but it just felt flat to me. It was missing its usual drama. It felt very repetitive. I gave that extra .5 because FINALLY we're getting somewhere with her sisters kidnapping. Also, I'm happy Red stuck with her gut to get the case.
I started it, but stopped once I realised the storyline was the same as the previous books. Someone killing people because they hurt/killed bugs/animals. The books are less about bugs being a part of solving murders and more bugs as a motive.
