Excellent guide on all things nutrition. From the incredible power that veggies and fruits have in our diet, to choosing the healthiest proteins and which to limit, good fats vs bad fats, the science behind insulin resistance and what sets it in motion, which beverages to drink up and which to pour out, and how to make the best dairy choices. Dr Ann Kulze writes the same way she instructs on her Instagram platform and makes this interesting and easy to read, explaining the “why” behind all things food and nutrition.

Kulze’s book is a good resource for a solid healthy eating plan. I’ve read a lot of books that focus on healthy eating plans and this one tops the list. It is short, to the point with good tips to take away. I recommend it for anyone looking to change their eating plan or just enhance their healthy journey.

I thought this book was well-researched and interesting. There were some things I knew, like the fact that soda is bad for you, but there were a lot of things that surprised me. I like that this is more of a lifestyle change than a diet, but I still don't think that makes it easy. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to eat as many beans as she would like me to, but this got me thinking about what I'm eating, which is a step in the right direction.

A good, relatively quick read on how to eat right. Although some examples and evidence presented are a bit bizarre (oxidizing olive oil creates bad "free radicals"? Our hunter gather ancestors at lots of wild game and did not develop chronic disease? I'd love to see the anthropological record for that), at the end of the day, the dietary advice given is ultimately good and can help people better understand what is healthy and unhealthy to consume.

Simple, "easy to understand, motivating, and fiercely practical."
