This is a sexy, fun read. Madison witnesses a crime and turns to the only person she trusts enough to keep her safe, her long-time crush (and brother's best friend), police detective Rafe Jackson.
Rafe is stunned when he's told Madison is the key witness of a crime connected to a mafia crime lord. The little girl he once knew has grown into a beautiful woman, who is now staying under his roof for protection. He's confident he can keep her safe from the criminals, but will he be able to keep himself safe from their growing attraction and his desire to have her in his life long after the case is closed.

I love this author's writing style. For those that don't know, she also writes under the name Katie Reus. Her characters are complex...one minute you're chuckling along with them & the next, they're twisting you up inside. Rafe and Madison, in Tempting Witness, were great characters. The story line was steamier than her usual books, but none of it was over the top or unnecessary. The emotional connection between the characters was satisfying & the suspense kept the story flowing.
The second bonus story was just that...a great bonus. It's short, but still filled with the trademark sexy, emotionally connected characters! Definitely worth the read!

It was good!!! YOu get a little, and I do mean a very little danger, hot mysterious guy and the witness to a crime.
Rafe is her brothers best friend. He runs hot and cold when it comes to her but she knows that after witnessing a crime he will keep her safe.
Madison is the girl he's been in love with for a while. When he finds out she is in danger he wants to do nothing but protect her. The chance arises to protect her by keeping her in his home. Of course sparks fly. IT was a good read, hot and quick. I seriously enjoyed it!

Add in a dash of menace from the bad guys for suspense and Miami Heat is one heck of a page-turner (or page-scroller, as the case may be). This is the first story I’ve read by Ms. Stuart and I look forward to reading many, many more.
