An A to Z of the Occult

Rate this book
In this simple-to-follow, A-to-Z guide, the details of studies into the occult and the truth about occultists, who, from the earliest times in history, have attempted to remove the veil that shrouds this historic concept are revealed. Several questions are asked and answered, including  What were the world’s greatest occultists—including Plato, Nostradamus, Isaac Newton, and William Blake—searching for? What are the true origins of alchemy? What secret knowledge is concealed within the tarot deck? Was the infamous Aleister Crowley really "the wickedest man in the world"? Did the Ancient Egyptians believe in magic? Through these mysteries along the pathways of the occult, "the hidden" will finally be revealed.

A good introduction to various themes relating to the Occult. Some chapters better than others in the breadth of material covered.

Superbly interesting, showcasing the many disciplines of religions, cults, secret societies and personalities across the globe. Revealing also that there is an ocean of knowledge out there and that we know so little of it.

Perfect introductory text on a wide variety of occult topics. Each entry is about 5 or fewer pages long, yet I felt I was constantly learning something in every chapter. Great little book!
