Having escaped the dangers of the bandit-infested Howling Woods, Kendril and his companions find themselves guests of honor in the small nation of Llewyllan. But he and his companions soon find that the glittering palace rooms of Llewyllan can be as just as perilous as the murky depths of the Howling Woods. When a conspiracy is discovered in the capital city of Balneth, Kendril lands himself right in the middle of an attempt to overthrow the government. Now scheming nobles, a treacherous witch, and an army of screaming barbarians are just the beginning of Kendril’s problems. For underneath the chaos in Balneth lies the work of dark powers, forces which seek the overthrow of Llewyllan for their own purposes. But to save the kingdom, Kendril finds he must make the hardest choice of all. He must give up the woman he loves. If, that is, he survives at all… A thrilling, action-packed fantasy adventure tale, Throne of Llewyllan is Book Two in the Chronicles of Zanthora, and continues the unfolding story of Kendril and the coming of the Fourth War of Despair. Fun, fast read. I enjoyed it. The problem was with the first book in this series. The Kindle edition needed a lot of help. The paragraph structure was all wonky. There was no relief from one person's story or viewpoint. The story's all merged so I had to figure out where the stop points were from one story to the next. I know you said you do your own editing Ben Cassidy. Can you fix the first book in this series? Maklavir made this story funny and it's well written. Can't wait to read the other books.
As so many other reviewers have mentioned these books are addictive and hard to put down! There are some typographical errors - but this author is self published so doesn't have a huge publishing company to sort this out for him, so I feel it is 'forgivable'. I have found that these errors occur less in the later books, and they do not spoil my enjoyment of what is. overall, a fantastic read.
LOVE LOVE this series!! I discovered Ben Cassidy by downloading Ghostwalker, a free 1st book in the series. Well this free book grabbed me on page one and I continued downloading one after the other and stayed glued through Book 6, Redemption! I'm anxiously awaiting Book 7, The Raven in the Sea. Mr. Cassidy has richly developed every character to the point of absolute believability. The story is fast paced, exciting, edge of your seat gripping and a great way to forget reality...at least for awhile. What a great author! I'll be waiting Mr. Cassidy!! Get well...you have years and years of awesome writing to do!!
I really enjoyed this second book. It was such a good follow up to the first. The characters were still very fun. The fight scenes were very interesting and exciting. I'm wondering about these new developments and if they will find the evil witch again, I think that she might be trouble. I am very excited to read more about these guys. I also really want to know what happened to Kendril and why he is a ghostwalker, and what it is exactly. So many questions still to be answered, but I feel like I already know so much about them. I really enjoy these books!
2.5 stars. I thought I was not going to continue the series but the ending made me curious (I was so sure the Ghostwalker and Jade would end up being together I was completely thrown off course when I read she marries someone else!)(who btw she doesn't love at all) and I decided to buy the next book, especially after I read the author is self published (Hat on for whoever self publishes, I know it's not easy).

Ben Cassidy has the ability to put cliffhangers all through his work. Consequently his books are real page turners. I've enjoyed the first three works in "The Chronicles of Zanthora" and am anxious to read the rest. My only regret is some of my housework is not getting finished because I can't put these books down! Thank you Mr. Cassidy!!!
This book proves to be as interesting as one and two ! There's never a dull moment and yet the characters are as down to earth as real life people. Looking forward to the next one !
As you,all know by now, I have not found about book that I didn't like. This one is no different. I was so engrossed in the story it was hard to stop reading. Any one who likes fable will love it.
The second in the series and just as well done. Is a continuation so you do need to read the first of the series prior to reading this. However, worth your time to do so.
