Scarlett made national news when she risked her own life to save all her kittens from a burning building. The firefighters noticed that she was taking them one by one to safety. Poor Scarlett got severely burned but she recovered and Scarlett and all her kittens found new homes. Most people were astonished that Scarlett was willing to sacrifice herself for her kittens. I would recommend this book to mothers and cat lovers.

Really good true story and a tear-jerker. Don't know why I decided to read this, but I am glad that I did. The story is a true tale about an animal lover New York firefighter who rescues a cat and her kittens after she rescued her kittens during a terrible fire. The care and attention the cat received just underscores the point that people are really good.
