For Dr Robin Mitchell, marriage was the ultimate expression of love. For Dr. Paul Wilcox, it signaled the beginning of the end. He had seen too many disastrous marriages - his parents' included.
Nevertheless, Robin would do anything to be with Paul. He was so special, so sensitive, so funny and warm, she coudn't imagine her life without him. When Paul suggested they live together, Robin agreed.
Though they were happy, Robin knew they could be happier still. She could only hope he'd abandon his bitterness and believe in what a new kind of love could do...
Judith Duncan is a popular author of romance novels published primarily by Harlequin Enterprises between 1983 and 2002. During the period when Duncan was actively publishing, she lived and worked in Alberta, Canada. She based many of her books in this region. She has been heavily involved in local writers groups in a variety of roles. In particular, she has been active in the organisation and running courses designed to develop writing and publishing skills
3.5 stars This was a typical Judith Duncan with thankfully a lot less crying and loads of drama (like an episode of Grey's Anatomy at two separate moments both h/H are hospitalized). Our hero is the resident heroine's boss and is definitely anti-marriage having been witness to some horrid ones. He likes the heroine and wants to be with her, and so does she but for that she has to set aside her own values of marriage and kids. Also this book was written way before sexual harassment and other rules, because the H is h's immediate boss, so their secret relationship is kind of a no-no. Of course things are sailing along nicely, then oops a surprise pregnancy and a h who thinks she will make the supreme sacrifice of a secret abortion to keep the H. She can't do it of course and then we have a huge break-up, H acting like baby and eventual HEA. Ah, this was like watching a soap opera.
Gostei... Vale a pena ler!
