Kathleen Weidner Zoehfeld is the award-winning author of more than sixty books for children, including DINOSAUR TRACKS, "a great choice for even the most discriminating dinophiles" (School Library Journal); DID DINOSAURS HAVE FEATHERS?, a Children's Book of the Month Club selection, described as "fascinating" by Kirkus Reviews; and DINOSAURS BIG AND SMALL, a 2003 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Book Award winner.
When she's not reading, researching, writing, or editing, Kathleen loves to spend her free time exploring, doing fieldwork, and preparing fossils for her local natural history museums.
Pooh, Piglet and Tigger try scrapbooking as a rainy day activity. The pictures they draw are just adorable.
This book foreshadows the importance of scrapbooking to Piglet's Big Movie, which would release a few years later. Given how long it takes to produce an animated movie, I assume they knew about its production when they made the book. It's one of my favorite Pooh movies with a delightful Carly Simon soundtrack. (iTunes tells me I've listened to "If I Wasn't So Small (The Piglet Song)" more times than "You're So Vain.")
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... )
Pooh's Scrapbook Zoehfeld, Kathleen Weidner this book is using stills and drawings from the television show and movies to teach life lessons with beloved Disney characters. This story shows all the characters and people in the hundred acre wood and how they relate to each other, its a way to teach children about the characters to start the series.
I have quite a few memories of reading and looking at this book because I liked the pictures and wanted to make a scrapbook of my own. Also, this book reminds me of Piglet's Big Movie where Piglet has a scrapbook that his friends use to find him.
I like how this shows that you can be creative even when you are stuck inside. I like how there is a little instruction sheet at the very back of the book on that you can make your own scrapbook the way that YOU want it to be.
