I read this book in one day. I rarely read dark age gap romances but I decided to give this book a chance. This book was wild and crazy. I will be reading the next book .

This push and pull of Mathias and Nikki was soooooo addicting!!!! I love the build up of their relationship and the love hate between these two families. I was on a roller coaster ride with this book was had so many surprises that had me hooked. Kenya Goree-Bell outdid herself with this story!!! Can love and hate coesist? Can your heart deny the truth for very long before true feeling come to the surface? So many elements of love, lust , betrayal, heartache, and danger mixed into this messy political love affair. An absolute must read!!!! So happy and honored to have read this and fall in love with these characters .💗 Mathias!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍

a family get together !
Had to push myself through the prologue, it was tough. Thought I’d DNF the book actually but I was so nosey wanting to know more about the town folk in Shelby-Love (that’s my truth). Man the story of Mathies Shelby and the man he has become, the things he endured and seen growing up. The hate that drove him to really be the change he needed in this world. Him and his love, bff was ment to be together, not realizing she (Nikki) was saving him too. Now don’t let my kind words fool you, that man has some darkness in him that only love can tame. Family, drama, cousins and friends, welcome to Shelby-Love

Mixed Feelings…
Least favourite in the series, had some good moments and moments I struggled to get past which hindered my enjoyment of the book.
I appreciate that this author takes risks but I felt like this one could have been executed better.
The villain x good girl trope was kinda there but I don’t know about assigning good girl label to the heroine she was just a girl, I felt like the heroine’s character wasn’t fully fleshed out and the hero’s backstory was too repetitive. There were elements of their story that seemed forced at times. Hopefully the next book is good.

What to say? What to say? Nikki and Mathias are so much more than soulmates. 🥰
Mathias is definitely NASTY and Nikki loves it.🥵😈🔥 It’s clear to see that even though they went through so much individually that they helped each other heal in the best ways they could. Nikki and Mathias’s backgrounds maybe separate but absolutely showed how much they deserved each other.
I’m so lucky to be an ARC reader and able to experience yet another great book in this series! Can’t wait to read more.

Not My Cup of Tea
Hey guys..I really like this author but this book
was not it. Spoiler The idea that the main character was underage (14) was just icky.. the love scene felt like abuse, so I really skipped that part entirely. I gave a 3 star because I really like the author book 1 and 2 was great and I want to see what kind of relationship that Kandie and the sheriff have so I will keep on reading her Nxt books.

✨Mathias 😈 and Nikki 😇✨::::: Soulmates 🥰 and Nasty 🥵🌶🔥
This book was definitely diverges from the classic enemies to lovers. It’s more best friends to enemies/spouses to lovers. Nikki and Mathias went through so much individually and this tale really went down the complexities of betrayal and trauma. Normally I would look at the two separately and write about their characteristics. This is a case of two halves of a whole. They aren’t complete without the other, even if they are hurt or angry. Their story feels earned. They both deserve the love the inevitably embrace.
KGB did such a great job making dynamic characters and smut so spicy you’ll need a tall glass of water. She always delivers and makes reading fun. Congratulations on another great novel!

I absolutely loved every moment of this book! It was brutally beautiful! Painful secrets were revealed but they lead to the beautiful revelation that Matthias and Nikki were made for each other! I loved the cameos from the mogul series and blood legacy books! Nikki deserves everything beautiful and lovely and Matthias is the right person to give it to her. The spice is ghost pepper hot!!!!!! After Nikki’s secret was revealed(birth certificate) the intensity of that sex scene was🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵……….woah!!!!! I think it was the longest sec scene I’ve ever read and thoroughly enjoyed!!!!!! Nikki had Matthias by the balls especially when he was so called mad at her!!!!

It keeps getting better and better
Kenya Goree-Bell, you amaze me with each book in this series! Mathias was a total Zaddy and his love/ obsession with Nikki is everything. My favorite quote from Mathias is “I don’t regret putting that worthless motherfer down. Don’t think for a fking minute I’d lose any sleep over a btch who touches you. Be careful, little wife.” 😮💨. From that moment I know daddy was not to be trifled with lol.
Nevertheless, I really love the different phases of their relationship. Darling Nikki is honestly mind blowing and is currently added to my reread list. Kudos Kenya, I can’t wait to read more that’s in store for this series

I never leave a book halfway, but in this case I have to DNF at 10%. The writing is absolute shit, the amount of typos this book has in 5 chapters is ridiculous, not to mention the poorly structured sentences, the random comas and the amount of bad writing.
I’m not sure if this is the author’s second language, but I can tell you that English is my second language and this book is unreadable.

This one was just ok to me. I’m still in love with the author’s writing, the world building, and I’ve grown to love the characters in this town. I think I wanted more from their relationship from an in love soul mate type of vibe and wanted Mathias to more unhinged. But I probably didn’t give this book a far shot because I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in the series, Toxic!!!! Over all, I think this was a solid installment into the series.

I gave this book 3 stars because as soon as the story broke, I knew it was Natalie.
Everything else was anticlimactic for me. It was obvious to anyone that Nikki loved Mathias and he her as well.

I think Kenya laced this book with cr@ck because I ate this book up in a day and a half and wanted more immediately. This definitely isn't a book thats for everyone but if you like books that are taboo with age gap this is the one for you.

It's not a bad story, but the lack of editing is maddening. When the heroine despairs that she never told the hero she loved him - 2 pages after she told him she loved him - I lost all ability to finish the book. That wasn't the only editing issue - there are plenty, but that was the last straw. Unfortunate because it really is a good story and steamy-hot as well.

Like, there were interesting things to make for a good story but it ended up being disappointing for me. Not bad or awful. Just a bit of a let down.
1/Too many inconsistensies or things that were not believable regarding Nikki's whole six years hideout/private school thing. Like nobody ever saw her at that place, she could come and goas she wanted, nobody ever questionned her being enrolled at that place and having so much means but no parents. Mathias is said both to have had this big financial independance and at the same time, somehow, still being under the thumb of his father. Then, all of a sudden, Nikk appeared and she is seemingly welcomed with no question asked by anyone.
2/ The dynamics between the 2 were too similar to Angel and Easy. Especially their sexual dynamics. And like the previous couple, those sex scene became repetitive.
3/I also don't understand why they were made to supposedly have fallen for each other quasi immediatly, especcially considering the circumstances. Like the whole ring thing is supposed to have happened right after meeting Nikki, at a time I don't see how Mathias could have felt such feelings toward her, even if she belevied she was the age she said she was (which, considering how she was physically described, is also very doubtful, and I can't believe Mathias actually could believe that). Si even though I don't like THAT particular trop me that I find creepish, it could have been done less creepish...

Probably the Best of the Blood Legacy series

Arc girly reporting in, and yall, this book took me for a SPIN. It’s a decent amount of pages, but I ate it up in less than 24 hours.
First off, the story starts out with almost vehicular manslaughter 😂 Why you keep doing this to your FMCs? Lmaooo! But this age gap story truly begins there. HOWEVER! Pleeeease read this story in entirety! Our writer is truly building a universe of the Loves and you will miss tons of easter eggs if I’ve rushing for the “fun” parts
Speaking of “fun” parts… I thought I was hip to a decent amount of scenarios and categories of niche things ppl do in the bedroom? But baaabeeeeh! Our writer puts out main characters into some thangs. Which literally give Dr Jekyl Mr Hyde. I clutched my PEARLS! You hear me? But it remains to be said… PLEASE HEED THE TRIGGER WARNINGS! Imma Southern raised girl myself, so I get the conservatism we can fall into, but our girlies in this series are being DOMINATED. With a CAPITAL D. Just know they are NOT nice guys. Just a lil tamed from their women… barely 😅

Quite A Very Interesting Read
This book was a wild ride from start to finish! So many plot twists and turns, but it still carried those key elements that tie together the Shelby Love community and the previous series. One thing about these books? These men DO NOT play about their women. Like, they will hunt them down, drag them back, and make them understand. Sometimes, you gotta hit ‘em with the “Oh, you think I’m about to play? Let me show you better than I can tell you.” The “f*ck around and find out” energy was STRONG. 😂
Beyond the drama and intensity, this book tackled some heavy and complex themes—mental illness, parental abuse, and immigration struggles—all woven into an intriguing, mind-boggling story. One thing about this author? She’s gonna keep you guessing! And let’s not ignore the BDSM & alpha male aggression themes that keep making an appearance across these books. Whew! 🥵
My only wish? I would have loved more backstory on Nikki’s family, especially her parents and what really happened to her sister. Maybe I missed it in another book, but I feel like there were some gaps that could have been explored deeper. And let’s not forget—the man literally met Nikki by running her over with his car, only to later find out she lied about her age. 😂 Whew, a story!

Unpopular opinion perhaps but I really liked Mattias. He could be ruthless, however he had a good heart and real mental fortitude. Given all he had to endure at the hands of his dad, he thrived. Nikki however wasn’t the good girl that the author was trying so hard to portray. Even though she didn’t help Joi write the article on
Mattias, she did something worse by lying to him about her age. This could have destroyed his dream (being a senator) and arguably lent him in prison if someone digged deeper and found out he housed a 14-year old. Worse the effect on his psyche given what happened with his dad. Before we knew about Natalie’s issues, she was also completely ridiculous to think that a fiancée would get unceremoniously dumped and just roll with it with a smile. Instead of selling us the nonsense about her family strong independent women who run when things get dicey, I would have found it more interesting if she actually tried to actively help Mattias win (rather than being bratty and woe is me, he doesn’t love me) and investigate how Joi knew so much.
I could also have done without the political lecture , democrats good vs republicans bad and racists.
As an aside where was Mattias brother Ananias hen and now?

She keeps outdoing herself…wow!
Wow this book was all the things. Hot, sweet, full of angst, family drama, obsession, love, lies, pain. Oh gosh I can go on but just know that Kenya Goree-Bell DID THAT!!! Did I mention the spice level is through the roof because she goes there. I should not love Mathias as much as I did but I couldn’t help it. That man was cruel and rough but when you got to know him you learned why and accepted him for all that he is. He was unapologetically himself. Miss Nikki held me from the first moment she came on the page with her smart and innocence. What a life they both led and to find each other in the midst of it all was both beautiful and very hard to read sometimes. They made it through though! I love this world with the Loves, Shelbys and Spencers. Kenya Goree-Bell created a world that was addictive with all the juicy tidbits we love in books. I can’t wait for the next installment. Would highly recommend giving this one and all the others a read.

I'm going to tell you right now, if you think you know where the story is headed you have absolutely no clue. Just buckle up and enjoy the wild ass ride that is the Blood Legacy Series. (I highly encourage you to read the series in order or at least reading Easy Like Sunday Morning before jumping into Darling Nikki.)
This dark small town friends to enemies to lovers, bully, marriage of convenience, forbidden, age gap is everything my little tormented heart could ever ask for and then some. There is mystery, family drama, discussions on mental health and reparations. Oh and let us not neglect to mention how steamy it is! My kindle processors were overheating by the sheer number of scenes between Mathias and Nikki.

Let me just say, without giving away any spoilers. This is a must read! It takes you through so many emotions, and you cannot put this book down. Mathias is hot, he’s cold, he’s mean, he’s endearing and he is dangerous. He’s nasty but so delicious. You want to choke him then you want to hug him. Kiyoshi and Angel don’t have anything on this man. And Nikki, my sweet little Nikki. Dear baby endures so much this book surprise me I did not see the ending coming the way it came. This book doesn’t come out until September 27, 2024 but you want to pre-order this book ASAP! Kenya Gore-Bell did the darn thing with this one.

I think this series has made me realize that I no longer like a morally grey man. I like the full on villian, who is not in the middle but fully consumed by darkness. I am not a Dark Romance reader at all and yet here I am all the way from Book 1 and will start Book 4 soon. I really have enjoyed this series so that is a testament to Kenya Goree-Bell because I DNF books for much less. This book includes Age Gap and V-card and those are usually automatic DNFs for me. This book was tough to get through some parts because Mathias was so mean, I'm not even gonna lie. The plots on each of the books has been so interesting that I have had to keep reading and find out what was going to happen. These MMC are so unhinged and have the filthiest mouths.

If you’re a pearl clutching, easily triggered snowflake, you should seriously bypass this awesome📕! I enjoyed the book but not as much as the others in the series. I’m not going to harp on the editing and grammar mistakes because honestly I can look past that. It doesn’t bother me. My issues were with the MMC but the author did thoroughly warn us lol
The only other thing I will say is, Kenya, girl…. ily but please for the love of god put these characters in anything else but a Henley. I’m sick of it! I swear to gods that’s the only thing anyone in the entire county of Shelby-Love wears. You don’t need to describe their clothes anymore because honestly at this point I automatically assume/imagine everyone in Henleys before you even say anything. It takes away from the characters and makes them one dimensional. When everyone wears Henleys and converse it becomes less believable; it’s no longer a unique characteristic or style choice it’s just the default.

Omg let me start by saying Nikki and Mathias know they nasty nasty lol. The book was so good. At times I wanted to smack Mathias for not believe Nikki. Joi smh she made me so mad but then I felt bad for her. Now Natalie the devil was pure evil. I loved heard an updated about Angel, Easy, Kyrie and Kyoshai. Ma Pete had all the tea and kept it right to herself. The book was so good and now I need to know Kandie and Ulysses store cause those 2 are gonna be a handful. I truly enjoyed the book. I got it at 12am and i was literally up reading until I made myself go to sleep at 5am. Your tell a wonderful story and the writing is masterful. I can wait to read more of the blood legacy series.

Darling, Darling Nikki…
I was waiting on this story to come out and my goodness! All the twists and turns to POW!!! Mathias turned up the heat. True age gap thrope even if it was unexpected. I will say that Mathias made me SOOOOO MAD through this entire book. He was tortured but very childish in how he handled Nikki. I would’ve given this book 5 ⭐️s, but some of the scenes gave me the ick. That’s just me though. I couldn’t get into it. However, I just know others will read those same scenes and EXPLODE!!! 🤣 Either way, once again Kenya knocked it out of the park with this one. NOW GIVE ME SABAN AND SNAKE PRETTY PLEASE WITH CHERRIES OK TOP MS. KENYA GIRL!!!! 😩😭🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The best one so far in this series. I appreciated Mathias internal conflict as he battled for his humanity while keeping the darkness at a very safe distance.
It was clear from the start that Nikki had hero worship for M given the loss of her family. Seemed evident that she was going to fall in love. They had a meaningful connection from the start. Although I wished Nikki had asserted herself more especially sexually making Mathias follow her lead at times.
My personal opinion is that this genre functions more around a males pleasure and power than the female lead.
It was pleased with the cast of previous characters and how effortlessly they blended into the story.
I look forward to more stories.

Mathias Shelby and Nikki Love were the couple that was never meant to live anywhere but in dreams. One faux pas and they become the “it” couple. Things to note, this book is not for anyone who likes clean romance; it’s for people like me who likes a lot of dirty and nasty with a tad bit of love sprinkled in. The story was HOT and very intriguing. I loved that couples from other books were mentioned like my favs Angel and Easy. I can’t wait to see what this author writes next, she has a way of making you wish you could visit Shelby-Love and become a cousin.

Thus story is Dark and Delicious to consume! Matthias has had a soft soft for Nikki since the moment he met her. And what he believed was unforgivable happened turning him into someone that will do his best to make her suffer. Even with the turn in their relationship the attraction and want is palpable. Matthias can finally give into what he wants without remorse and finally in the open. Nikki is willing to do whatever it takes to have him, even as her heartbreaks as it's happening. Read this book, you'll be in your feels and lose sleep reading how the story plays out. I'm always left wanting more from this series! Anxiously waiting for the next Love heroine to lose myself into!
