It was time...
When Elizabeth took her grandmother to the museum's silent film retrospective, she would never have predicted the course of events that was to transpire. As the theater grew dark and the screen began to flicker with the images of a different era, Elizabeth found herself drawn into the world of Dorothea's youth...

But Dorothea knew something was very wrong. There she was in a movie starring the love of her life, Vernon Dunbar, yet she couldn't remember it at all. She was sure that she had never made that film. And only one person could prove that fact for her...Elizabeth.

Elizabeth wanted to help her grandmother come to terms with the past. If she only had a way to see how things happened for herself. If she only had a key to the true history. If only she could travel back...

This book was published in 1988 and I hadn't heard of this author before.

After Elizabeth goes to a museum with her grandmother to see a silent film that she starred in, Dorothea says that this movie was not the one she was in, although she is there with the love of her life Vernon Dunbar on screen. Dorothea passes out and is taken to the hospital. Elizabeth is curious and is looking at her grandmothers pictures when she spots a snow globe. When she turns it upside down, Elizabeth is transported back to 1909 when her grandmother was to fall in love with Vernon.

It's not a particularly well written book and leaves a lot of questions unanswered but it does make you keep reading to see what will happen.

I LOVED this book! Granted, it wasn't the most well-written book I've ever read, but it had heart. I absolutely adored the characters, especially Liz and Gran. The time travel was believable and exciting. This book has everything...romance, adventure, mystery. If you can find a copy I highly suggest reading it.

I love time travel novel. I really do. However this book was just made me got boring more and more. The characters were sympathetic and I just unlikable them at all because I can not found the real chemistry between all of them. They just said that they love each other but for me I can not see it.
