Despite a yearlong separation, she knows her dad, Banks, is the one person she can call.
If you’ve been following my reviews for any length of time, you know I read and love every single book Rory and Tate write. Edge is no exception. I love the backdrop we have with Edge of Insanity Ink and the resident artists, Jude and Asher. Despite my aversion to OW drama, the abhorrence I felt for Jessica made Banks’ and Charlie’s HEA feel that much more victorious! However, I would have loved a little more insight into the marriage. And let’s not forget the cameos. 😍
I feel like this statement is a standard in my taboo reviews, but it is what it is… I love so many things about Rory and Tate’s writing. But I think what I love most is that their characters’ emotions jump off the page. You know that their connection was undeniable and, as unconventional as it may be, their story wasn’t a story written for the sake of simply being taboo.

Wow..these ladies know how to write taboo. This is dirty and all the goodness you want in this trope so don’t read any further if not your thing. I’m a judgement free page so don’t judge me.

Let’s get into the good stuff…Banks, ugh Banks makes me feel all hot and bothered and makes me feel the need to get a tattoo to just fantasise about this guy. Possessive, possessive, possessive and dominating. I want to be his good girl, or bad as he knows how to dish out a punishment lol

Ready for the next book to obliterate all your boundaries? Look no further! Edge of Insanity is a provocative tale of finding what makes you happy and holding onto it regardless of the obstacles that lie ahead. Super 🩸 taboo (check the TWs puh-lease) with a generous age gap and the inclusion of a tattoo shop? I was there for it. And I was left completely sated.
This story is told with dual POVs that allow us to see events unfold through the eyes of the two MCs. Daddy Banks is EVERYTHING. Possessive, dominant and protective, all with a side of grump, he knows what he wants isn’t accepted by society, but he can’t deprive himself of happiness any longer. Charlie is a bratty FMC that bravely holds her own, isn’t afraid to speak her mind or throw a punch, and knows how to push all of Banks’ buttons. And how she pushes those buttons…
The angsty conflict between characters and the hangups they battle within themselves form the plot. As things become more complicated, the tension builds to a crescendo, and when it finally snaps, what results is delicious, unadulterated taboo filth. There are plentyyy of spicy scenes to keep you invested...I’ll never look at a tattoo gun the same ever again.
Each book I read from the Baddies further enriches the world they’ve created, which is filled to the brim with interconnected stories. We get cameos galore within these pages, and it’s yet another gentle reminder that I have whole backlogs to address. They also set the stage for a potential future story as well – Jude and Asher were food for my soul, and I need more of them in my life.
The tone of the book is pretty sassy with a bit of cynical comedy injected, making for some laugh out loud cracks. The salad and red dye line literally made me spit my coffee, and I wasn’t mad about it. Charlie’s teasing is a whole vibe, and watching Banks squirm made it all worthwhile.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this group at the Edge of Insanity Tattoo shop, and I’m excited to see what’s coming next. Ireland and Monroe tell their stories with such easy voices, I can’t ever seem to get enough. I need more, and I need it now. Loved it. ❤️

The taboo baddies are back at it! 🥵❤️🔥
Warning ⚠️ this book consist of 🩸 relation (Father/Daughter), OW drama (stepmother but no cheating from the MC’s), Age gap, degradation/praise, violence, parental ☠️. Please if this is not your cup of tea do not dive into this, however I’d recommend looking into some of their other books because I believe you can’t go through life without reading at least one of their books 🥰.
Daddy Banks 🥵 umm yes we know it’s not right by society but who cares!? Daddy Banks and Charlie was everything you’d expect in a taboo book from these baddies! Spice is 4/5 while I loved the spice I did want just a tad more detail with Charlie losing her V to Daddy Banks 🥵. Other than that the spice was amazing in here. I absolutely loved the spicy scenes in Edge of Insanity ink shop! & the tattoo scene 😏. You will not be disappointed if you only pick this up for spice! Charlie is a tempting minx and shoot I even would’ve fell for her antics! I really loved Charlie in this and felt like she went after what she wanted!
I will say as far as plot goes I did enjoy most of it. I did not enjoy stepmother dearest and her son but that’s why they were added as additional characters that eventually get put out of the story. I did feel like this could’ve been written without them but I still enjoyed it.
I cannot wait to read about Asher and Jude because they were my favorite side characters and they cannot go without having their own book! 🥵🥵🥵🥵 I know Tate and Rory will deliver an amazing story for them!

not as good as limerence, though i love rory ireland and tate monroe's style of writing. they know how to write mmc who loves the fmc unconditionally despite the circumstances and they write such hot, filthy smut. the plot didn't hook me up that much though, i only kept reading to see jessica and kyle's downfalls. 😈
also LOVE sutton and bliss' cameo!!!!!! they are my favorite couple and i love the fact that limerence takes place in the same universe. it was like a bonus story 🥺🤍

Edge of Insanity by Rory Ireland and Tate Monroe is an age gap taboo romance.
I love Tate and Rory's dirty minds and just can't help but devour their books. This book is an extreme taboo romance I would highly recommend reading the warnings before jumping in. This book is not for everyone.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Bank and Charlie. I loved that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I don't want to give any spoilers away so I will just say if you love extreme taboo romances you should pick this one up today!

currently in the process of reading--- my god.. i literally had to take a mental health break with eyes poppin out of my face during the part in the tattoo shop office......im.... jesus.... i cant even begin....
i love this sck sht so much lol... ok... i need to go read some like.... warm and fluffy cheating groveling or some dark mafia kidnappings for an hour before I can go back to this...
in fact... im about to listen to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse Death on audiobook right quick.. thats how twisted this is... that i need some weird captivity romance as mental chlorine LOL.. but yet I love the pain...
ok im done now... and honestly.. im just going back in.. i dont even care.. my brain can take it... IN IT TO WIN IT... team work makes the dream work LOL

Similar to my reviews of other stories by these authors, the taboo/steamy bits are not enough to be a dirty short but the story is not developed/written well enough to be a full story, and I ended up skimming.

Who knew that I needed a taboo romance that included a tattoo shop in my life? Rory and Tate that’s who! I am not one but ashamed to say that I ate this book up!
Charlie has recently graduated from college and her current job is not cutting it anymore. The only person she can turn to for help since her mother passed away is her father, Banks. The man she hasn’t spoken to in a year after running out of his life like her ass was on fire. One bad storm rolling through in the middle of the night and a terrified Charlie led to quite a mix-up between her and Banks. One that caused lines to blur and once clarity struck things could never go back to the way they were before.
Figuring it’s time to move on and really wants the help she calls her dad to see if she can stay with him for a little while as she looks for a new job. When she returns home she discovers certain things have changed in the time she’s spent away. Her dad seems to have found himself a family and they’re not exactly thrilled about Charlie being there. Personalities begin to clash causing tempers to flare and it feels like Banks and Charlie are walking a tightrope trying to ignore their desires. Needless to say, the book title couldn’t be more appropriate. 😂
The tension in this book is so damn good I almost didn’t want it to stop lol! Almost… 😏
It just felt like every time Charlie and Banks were in the same space you could feel a charge in the air between them even if they weren’t talking to each other. And I of course loved how overly “protective” Banks was when it came to her. Especially when he apparently wasn’t in the past. The spice - Mmmph 🤌🏻 magnifico
Rory and Tate did a great job of having the spice slowly build up in intensity and it really helped the pace of the book for me. Even though the story was short and a lot of things happen in a short amount of time having the spice gradually increase kept it from feeling like things were moving at light speed. It’s one of the things I like most about Rory and Tate’s writing is their ability to write books that are on the shorter side yet the stories flow in a way that makes them feel like they aren’t rushed.
That and there’s usually at least one spicy moment that stands out from the rest. One that will have you looking up from your book like 😳😳😈. I’ve never wanted a thigh tattoo so bad in my life! I had no idea a tattoo gun could be so…useful… that’s all I’m saying! 🤣😮💨
OH!! And I just can’t write this review and NOT mention that there’s a cameo from my favorite psycho! 🥹🤭 I just love when he pops his ass into other people's stories like he belongs there!

Bottom line it’s another fanfuckingtastic taboo read from this duo and it’s absolutely worth the read! I cannot wait for more books in this little corner of their world!

This was another great taboo book from Rory and Tate! It’s father/daughter with the fmc being a virgin and the mmc being very possessive.
My favorite thing about this book was the build-up and that it was the fmc, Charlie, pursuing her dad instead of the other way around like we see in so many other books. Charlie tried to fight the attraction she had to her dad at first but quickly realized it was what she wanted, and she was relentless in flirting and riling up her dad, Banks.
Banks, bless his heart, tried his absolute hardest to not give in and to make sure that this was really what Charlie wanted. It was all good intentions and was appropriate for the story, but it totally had me sitting there dying inside from the angst. Then there’s Jessica… lord, I swear Rory and Tate write the best characters for me to absolutely loathe lol

Okay, I MUST be on the edge of my own insanity, if I find this book to be absolutely delectable. Daddy Banks, he's just 🥵. And when Charlie and him mesh, 🎆.
Guys, heed the trigger warnings. The Banned Baddies has done it again with this intense, filthy, extremely taboo, extremely forbidden, age gap of a story. Got me over here questioning my morals once again. If there are any pearl clutchers that come across this review, this one is definitely not for you. Unless, you are ready to take a fun ride on the wild side. Now, if this is something you definitely CANNOT RESIST, then I highly recommend this book!!

Hello, Daddy Banks 🥵🥵 with every Rory and Tate taboo release, I know I'm going to find something that pushes boundaries. That's what taboo is for, right?
I didn't want to stop reading about Charlie and Banks. They're perfect for each other. I love that we saw other characters pop up, even if they were vaguely mentioned as a passerby.. There is some OW drama, and of course she gets what's coming to her.
I need more from these two and can't wait for the next release!!

Gah, Banks & Charlie no me decepcionaron, hubo un plot ligero pero mas cargado que los demás tabú de estas autoras y creo que fue el balance Perfecto entre 🌶️ e historia. La aparición de Atlas me fascinó, de los OG 🩸, y las menciones de los demás personajes del club kinky, amazing.

I love a taboo romance as much as the next person and as much as I did actually enjoy this book, I’d probably have rated it higher if it wasn’t so annoying to read :/
The amount of swear words in every sentence was just too much and it felt so over unnecessary. I love swearing, lol. But fuck this, fuck that, fucking this, shit that? Like, chill. It’s too much
I still will continue to read books by this author but I’m hoping the next book I pick up has less swearing.

Edge of Insanity is another great daddy-daughter (blood relation) taboo romance. I personally didn’t LOVE it as much as some their other books just because the dad was married the entire time. I guess it was mainly in “name” only (we never know if they have sex but they do seem to be sharing a bed and spending lots of time together). We don’t ever like the wife or her son so we don’t feel bad that he cheats on her (with his daughter), but still a heads up (you know, since you’ve got no problem with father-daughter sex, you might be hesitant about cheating spouses, jk😂). Anyway, while we can infer, it was never super clear why he married her, or what his plan was with her. At first we think maybe it’s to coverup his feelings for his daughter but I don’t think that had anything to do with it.
My only other issue is a constant complaint about the way these authors interconnect all their books BUT DO NOT PROVIDE A SUGGESTED READING ORDER. In this story, there’s conversations with a minimum of 3 people from past books. Also mentions of at least 3 locations from previous books (Hillcrest, Violent Peak, Opal Club). It’s true that you do NOT need to have read these other books, but I just feel like if you’re gonna reintroduce those characters, we might appreciate it more if we knew their stories.
For example, Sutton & Bliss (father & daughter couple) walk into Edge of Insanity for a tattoo. Their story is found in Limerence, but you would never know they had their own book since it’s not well labeled (half the book descriptions do NOT even include the MC names so you would have a very difficult time finding which book was their story even IF you DID want to read it). Whenever this duo announces a new book I cannot contain my excitement! Ms.Ireland and Ms.Monroe have become one of my go to duo's. This book instantly became an anticipated read of mine and once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed it so very much!
Charlie and Banks's journey had me hooked from start to finish! As these two reunite, can Banks and Charlie ignore everything they ignite in each other? Or can giving in be everything?
Daddy Banks and Charlie had me glued to my kindle from beginning to end! Sometimes you can't help who gets under your skin and Chatlie and Banks knew that all too well when it came to one another.
Both Charlie and Banks had me feeling every single bit of their journey from the wanting to every emotion they drew from each other's hearts. I loved that I went through so many emotions with these two! They had me blushing every shade of red and kept me on edge for sure.
From the taboo to Edge of Insanity Ink, I thoroughly enjoyed this story so very much! Has me wanting a tattoo of my own. This duo forever changed tattooing for me. 😏

Recomendación de libro incestoso🙈
Banks es dueño de una tienda de tatuajes pero desde que Charlie su hija se metió a su cama por tenerle miedo a las tormentas y termino con un momento muy incomodo, han estado separados por un tiempo pero recientemente su madre fallece y como es debido su padre no aparece pero ella ya no tiene trabajo y necesita un lugar donde quedarse a vivir momentáneamente y busca la ayuda de su padre pero cuando llega a la tienda se topa con muchas cosas que nunca le dijeron.
El libro muy bueno y la tensión lo hacía a otro nivel también, Charlie es un personaje que me gustó mucho por nunca rendirse y al igual que Banks que a pesar de que tenía esos deseos lucho por tratar de hacer cambiar de opinión a Charlie pero los dos vieron que en verdad se deseaban mutuamente. Jessica era INSPORTABLE pero necesito saber más del porque se casaron y quien es su tío, por esa parte si digo que llegaron a estar inconclusos al igual que Kylie que solo era un mocoso que era muy mimado y yo quería que le cayera el karma.
Jude y Asher porfavor que tengan su libro porque me dejaron con la intriga de como era la temática en su relación y demás.
Las escenas spicy estuvieron muy buenasss pero pudieron ser mucho mejores a mi parecer, las múltiples escenas en la tienda me encantaron pero la última fue una de las mejores sin duda🥵🔥 pero enloquecí cuando el se detuvo porque decía que el olor de su 🐱 lo estaba volviendo loco (en el buen sentido).

I have been anxiously waiting for Banks’ story since hearing his “position” from Maverick at his club and it doesn’t disappoint.
Charlie is a head strong young woman that speaks her mind and can throw a punch with the best. I adore how she doesn’t sugar coat things and isn’t afraid to go after what she wants.
I love Banks so much!! He’s just as protective as he possessive and always puts Charlie’s safety and happiness before anyone else. I loved seeing his walls slam down and him claiming what he wants the most.
Tate and Rory are my go to queens for completely forbidden/taboo romance - this one is perfection and proof. I love how they shattered all boxes that most romance dance in and are dancing on their own. This is fast paced but doesn’t feel rushed. It has dynamic characters that blossom and push one another - but the push isn’t to break, it’s to make their relationship stronger. I was glued to my kindle from the beginning, thru all drama and yummy spice, to the sweet end and I loved every single word. I can’t wait to see what else these Banned Baddies queens write next - hopefully Asher and Jude’s story…maybe even Maverick’s.

Edge Of Insanity by Rory Ireland & Tate Monroe.
i loved absolutely every aspect of Edge Of Insanity, from the taboo, panty melting sex to the love that Charlie And Banks share. i liked how Charlie was such a sassy baddie and Banks, the possessive, jealous and tattooed daddy 👀 the build up was amazing! i also noticed how Charlie was the one to pursue Banks, which we don't really see (FMC pursuing MMC) a lot these days, and i adored that. it was so nice seeing it be realistic and also making you feel sucked into this forbidden world. The Banned Baddies are awesome at breaking the norms and slaying at it! the meaning of the title that we get to see is also 😳 so much fun!

I was hoping for better, and stronger development of the tension between father and daughter. The context of her having to return to his home was a good thought, but poorly executed. We get no explanation for why dad's wife and he have bad history or why there is zero romance between them other than a phoned-in implication of other devious characters we never meet. All of that could've been discarded in favor of putting father and daughter in numerous scenes in which they tease and taunt each other, slowly building things up. Instead, there's just a bunch of inner monologue from either perspective where they're choosing to internalize until the crescendo. The story is far too short, and had so much more potential. The HEA is great, but it does little to distract from a read that is at least half as long as it should be. I'm new to novellas, but I would hope that in general they tend to be more straight to the point instead of teasing with context peppered-in here and there just to fill pages.

This book lives up to its name. These ladies bring taboo and depravity like no other. This book definitely edges you as you get the slow build-up of Banks slowly losing his grip on his sanity when it comes to his daughter Charlie.
These characters have bantering, miscommunication, and a lot of spicy dirty moments that leave you wanting more. I loved seeing so many previous characters in this one, but man oh man I can't wait for more Jude and Asher now.
If you love a good taboo storyline this is a definite must read. It's got the perfect amount of banter and slow burn before things get heated up finally. I can't wait for more from these two authors. This is a Must Read for Taboo Readers.

Once again this author duo has created another taboo masterpiece!! Edge of Insanity is a fast paced, extremely taboo story with great plot, loveable characters and hot spice!
Banks is one of a kind. He’s super possessive over Charlie, he would do anything to protect his baby girl.
And Charlie is a strong FMC who knows what she wants and most importantly who she wants. She’s funny, has a wicked attitude and knows just how to push Banks to his limits.
Even though we dont get a whole lot of smutt in this story, the hot tension and pinning is enough to set you over the edge. And when we do get the spice, these authors do not hold back!!
I’ll always recommend these queen authors to anyone who loves taboo books and arent scared to push themselves over the edge!
