I read through the first 4 chapters to see maybe one sentence I hadn't heard before. I failed. This book is the exact example of "mumbo-jumbo" that the author very strongly claims to be against.

Really enjoyed this book. In many ways it wasn't what I was expecting, but I'm really happy that was the case. Don't get me wrong, it is full to the brim of useful techniques that can be utilised in many life situations, but what impressed me the most was that much of this book was about self-improvement in general, and the kinds of things we can do to improve ourselves in the now, not just for the future. The narrator was a good choice as well, providing a soft voice that also really made you take each point on board without it coming across as arrogant as some books of this nature can easily become. A really good read, thoroughly recommend.
